B-Hotel

Excellent value for money hotel...rooms were clean, spacious and modern and the bed was super comfy. The finishings here and there looked a bit rushed(I only checked this out as it was mentioned in another review), but these were only minor flaws. Great location-was a 5 minute walk to the metro and only a few stops to La Ramblas. The hotel staff were really friendly and professional. We were happy with our stay as it was nice and close to the Metro, reasonably priced, had a fabulous pool on the roof, it was a bit "eclectic", had free internet connection, was clean with spacious rooms. Our main complaint was no iron. I found that strange and we were miffed as our travel iron had broke the day before. Other than that no real complaints. Got a nice, free breakfast w/our stay and it did the trick. For the price I think it is a good value. Bed was very comfortable considering it was 2 beds pushed together.

This hotel most certainly gets 10/10 for being modern and chic - it can only get better as they are still working on it! There will eventually be a shopping mall next door too (although probably not within the next 12 months). The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was large and clean, the bed was comfy. We stayed at the B-hotel for three nights for a combination long weekend/business trip. For the money, 95 euro, it is a fantastic value. And the title says it all, the rooftop pool with the views is fantastic (note to hotel: water is too cold, though). We booked an 8-day stay at the B-Hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews. Whilst we were very impressed by the sleekness of the hotel, there were some issues which really marred our stay. My cousin and I recently stayed for 4 nights at this ultra modern hip hotel overlooking Placa Espanya. The pictures did not do the hotel justice. From the moment you arrive in the minimal lobby you can't be anything but thrilled by the sleek design. The rooms albeit a little dark have all the modern comforts such as a flat screen tv, hi tech air conditioning and mini bar plus one of the most comfortable hotel beds i have slept in. Stayed here for a week in June during Barcelonas Sonar Festival. Impressed by the the clean chich modern design, light grey, beige and teak colour scheme, dimmer lighting, powerful aircon, large generous pillows, and a small balcony that faced the Plaza d' Espanya. Busy as the plaza is, the double glazing provided good sound proofing. Location was very good in that the Metro station was 1min walk away and a 10min tube ride into town; a cab back from town was no more than 10euro. I just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel (pre/post cruise). This is a wonderful modern hotel in a great location. The hotel is located near Placa Espanya area. Within 10 minutes walk from the hotel, you have access to the Placa Espanya Metro Station, Aerobus stop (3.45 Euros from airport, one way), convenience store, fountain show, Turisme de Barcelona booth, etc. The Placa Espanya metro stop is a 15 minute ride from Placa Catalunya Metro/Las Ramblas area. We stayed at this hotel as part of a 1 month tour of Europe and can say without doubt it was our favourite! Modern, stylish and lots of gadgets! The staff were very helpful, the room was heavenly - very tastefully decorated and a good location. We walked into town in about 20 minutes, or there is a metro (Plaza Espanya) right outside. We originally chose this hotel because it was close the train station and did not expect much. But the B-hotel took us by surprize as soon as we walked into the lobby! It is absolutely beautiful, everything is brand new and extremely luxurious. We didn't want to leave the hotel. The beds are soft and comfortable and the lighting in the room is spectacular. It is about a 15minute walk to the main area in barcelona, las rambla, but well worth it for the price you won't find anything better.
