On the balance, a favourable impression after a two-day stay.
Oddities include lift call buttons that seem to point the wrong direction, misleading the stabbing finger (the ‘down’ indicator is perversely sited above the ‘up’), unavailability of newspapers at the main desk or hotel restaurant at breakfast time, and decor / colour choices, particularly in the lobby, that call to mind East German attempts at ‘Danish modern’. For all that, the room where we slept was well equipped apart from a lack of WiFi access and the furnishings were comfortable; the breakfast supplied was good and ample, with excellent coffee; and the staff were immensely cordial as well as wholly professional.
Good value for money, then, but keep smoked glass by you to shield your eyes as you transit the lobby.
