Built in 1990 and renovated in 2002, the Macaris Hotel is located in the west entrance of Rethymnon, 100 meters from sea and only 900 meters from the centre. It overlooks the open sea and the old Venetian castle. The Macaris Hotel is located on a steep incline so is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. The Macaris Hotel offers a swimming pool and separate childrens pool with free sun chairs and umbrellas and a snack by the pool bar. Lunch is offered at the roof garden. We found the Macaris was very worthy of its four star rating.
