Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport Hotel

My husband and I stayed in the Crowne Plaza hotel in Dublin in September 2005 for one week. This place is wonderful. The multi-cultured staff speak lots of different languages, and everyone there is friendly and very helpful. We thought we'd eat in the restaurant there at least one night, but the food was so good we ate there four night of our seven night stay. The wine list was excellent and the beer all you would expect in an Irish bar. The bar staff were attentive and helpful, and even the waitress smiled all the time.
The hotel is located not far from the middle of Dublin yet has a rural feel to it. Its cosy and comfortable and nothing is too much bother for the staff, who know all the local attractions and can recommend places to visit. The rooms themselves are warm, comfortable and easy to relax in, and the whole ambience of the place is inviting.
A special word of thanks to Paul the store guy who managed to get a carrier for us to take back a large statue we bought near temple bar, a wonderful cosmopolitan area of the city. There are plenty of bargains to be had if you are prepared to shop around, which is always a pleasure in Dublin, the warmest of cities.
I would really recommend both the hotel and the city. We have been all over the world and this is definitely one of my favourite places.
