Overall everything was as described on the website. The room was nicely decorated and everything was clean.
I would recommend this hotel although the room was unbearably hot at times. The majority of the time the cold tap didn't work either which didn't help when trying to cool down. The room also looked onto a courtyard which was noisy in the evening and also in the morning.
The hotel is in a great location (directly opposite the bus station and 5 min walk to the centre) and the restaurant was very nice.

Nice hotel, our room was a good size, staff were fine.
Major drawback which we didn't know about until on the night was the night club situated next door! Our first night's stay was a Saturday and we had music blaring up until 2.40am. We asked to be moved to another room but were advised we were as far away as possible already. When we spoke to the management on departure they said we wouldn't have heard anything if we had stayed during the week.
So perhaps the moral of this story is not to book into the Isaacs Hotel over a weekend because of the noise!

We spent 2 nights B&B at Isaacs hotel in Dublin, there was a group of 7 girls for a bit of a fun weekend!
All in all, Isaacs was a very clean, attractive hotel which was only a few minutes walk from Connelly St Station, and from the Temple Bar area.
The rooms were bright, airy and cleaned daily, with a good size bathroom.
Unfortunately our room overlooked the main Bus Station which could be quite noisy at night, but that was the only negative thing I would say! Oh, and also the brown sauce in the restaurant wasn't HP which as we all know is essential for a fry up!

I had a great stay at this hotel when I had a weekend away in Dublin with my girlfriend. On first impressions the place did look a little run down but it was clean and pleasant.
We never had a problem with any of the staff, they were very friendly, and the maids had made sure that the rooms were spotless etc. The rooms were spacious and we found them to be comfortable.
We did go down to the bar and I was surprised how busy it was and we had a great night.
This is a cheap place to stay and I would say that it is well worth staying here.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in April and Hotel Isaacs was a great hotel for the money.
People who say otherwise have not done their research into how much other hotels in such a great location actually cost. It is a fifteen minute walk from O'Connell St (maximum) and you can catch a tram/bus/train from outside to everywhere else.
A definite three star, you will find that Hotel Isaacs is undergoing refurbishment, the outside and stairwells were being painted whilst we were there, which made it look a little scruffy compared to the pictures on the net due to workmen etc.
I was really concerned about 1) how hot the rooms were (according to other reviews) and also 2) the noise from the club/bar downstairs.
But we were pleasantly surprised as they had put an air con unit in our room (216) and the noise was like faint thumping but it didn't keep us awake! Not sure what the room below would be like.
The room looked great with floor to ceiling windows covering one side of the room, well decorated and the correct temperature! They would have been really hot if it wasn't for the air conditioning though. I think we were in the superior wing, so ask for this if you go and see what you get!
The restaurant is really nice, looks just like the net. Pasta was great.
Staff were adequate but not that bothered about you, but then we weren't that interested in them either! They did their job reasonably well.
We just wanted somewhere to stay whilst we looked around the real reason we went - which was to experience Dublin in all its glory.
It was a brilliant weekend; everyone must go to the Guinness Storehouse - a tenner well spent!

Excellent hotel.
Upon arrival, staff very keen to help us to the car park. They also managed to get us a smoking room which was great.
Very stylish. Modern and clean. Right beside the train station but no noise can be heard.
Rooms very clean, comfortable and affordable. Internet access, breakfast all available.
Hotel car park was 10 Euros and that was from 3pm-11am. Excellent value.
5 minute walk from O'Connell Street. Highly recommended.

The photos on the internet are very misleading to the rooms you are actually allocated. The price you pay you expect a far better standard. On arrival given our room and felt more like Harry Potter than tourists.
Given a very small, smelly room with dated en-suite and old mis-matched furniture. Complained and was moved the next day to a better room but break was already ruined. Traveling companions were allocated a room above the club! Their bed was still vibrating with the music till 3.00am. Beware of room 113!
Breakfast was very nice and reception area clean and welcoming but will never go to this hotel again.

Having never been to Dublin before, we booked the Isaacs Hotel based on the photographs and description rather than recommendation. On arrival at Dublin airport we decided to head to the hotel by taxi which cost about 18 euro, the Airport bus would have been 7 euro each, so if there are more than 2 of you it is cheaper to get a taxi. We were very lucky in that the driver offered lots of hints and tips about the city, where to go, how to walk there etc, he couldn’t have been more helpful.
On arrival we found the hotel was lovely, although it is a bit off-putting because its right opposite the big bus station and the police station on the other side, plus the trains go right past the hotel. We needn’t have worried; we were in a lovely room and only heard the trains during the day, by the time we got back in the evening the trains had stopped for the day. so no disturbed sleep.
The rooms themselves are lovely, very clean and modern, and the bed was really comfortable. All mod cons provided and the shower is very powerful, a bit too powerful sometimes if you have sensitive skin! The staff were all very helpful, they clean daily but there are lots of door tags if you don’t want to be disturbed etc, there’s also one if you want breakfast in bed; not sure if there’s an extra charge for this as we didn’t use it. They are really polite and they don’t intrude but are always available if you need any help.
The restaurant was very unusual - look at the pics on the website - its won the best restaurant award in 2005, and no surprise, its really nice for a romantic /quiet dinner. Breakfast itself was varied, full Irish was a bit on the mean side but there was plenty of choice from the buffet to make up for it.
There’s a bar next door which is part of the hotel but separate entrance. It’s really nice in here, modern, fresh and cozy. Good music but not too loud and the drinks are cheaper than in Temple Bar. Loads of squashy sofas - one of those places you could sit all night in either as a group or just a couple of people having a chat.
All in all we would recommend Isaacs Hotel, it made for a really lovely stay.

On a hitch-hiking trip for a children’s charity, my party and I arrived at Isaacs Hostel in Dublin from the ferry, freezing cold, tired and somewhat zombie-like! First impressions were certainly good ones- the hostel is in the centre of Dublin down a small side street nearby a couple of other hostels and not too far from eating places and pubs.
Our room had 4 bunk beds in it- considering it was a hostel we were staying in, we were not expecting anything luxurious. We got what we paid for, a bed- that is all. Our room had a plug socket, a lamp and a bin in it. We could opt for breakfast and some of us did- it was actually delicious. Fruit, a muffin and toast and delicious coffee, just what you want after hiking across England and travelling on a ferry! The courtyard was enclosed by the walls of the hostel and we ate and sat on picnic tables- it was lovely with small plants, we truly felt like we were in Europe.
The security of the hostel required chip-cards and keys which was excellent for peace of mind and slightly irritating if you left them in your room! The staff were very security conscious and whilst sometimes they appeared rude, they were trying to organise about 40 people upon arrival and it must be said, did a good job.
The staff were not English or Irish, one was Dutch, one was German and I think one was French- however, language presented only a minor barrier. The town of Dublin was lovely, the bridges were beautiful and there is no shortage of bars! Drinks here are very expensive, even in "local" bars, but the Celtic music emitting from some of them made it hard to resist paying that extra bit.
Dublin door staff seem to be very ID-conscious therefore if you are under 25 it is advisable to have a passport or license with you at all times otherwise you will be told in no uncertain terms to leave. As part of our trip we went on vast walks through leafy streets and ended up at the Guinness Factory- definitely worth a trip if only for the complimentary pint at the end of the tour! Guinness certainly tastes different in Ireland than it does on England!

Great Value Accommodation, Good friendly staff on reception that were always willing to help, even despite the fact the hotel was full and rather busy (U2 playing in Dublin).
The Room was well laid out and very spacious, all clean and had TV, coffee, toiletries etc, the usual you expect in a good hotel. Not always the best of views from the window, but then city centre hotels are not often places for scenic views. No Problems with noise from the busses etc.
Location was brilliant. Opposite the main bus and tram station, it is very easy to get to and find. Bus runs right from the airport up to the Station.
It's a 10 minute walk to the main areas e.g. Temple Bar, The Spire, Connolly Street etc.
About 30 minutes walk from croke park.
The breakfast was also good value and very tasty, with a good selection of cereal, bread, pastries, juices, tea/coffee and fruit.
I'd recommend it, as it is cheaper and although not directly in the action, is just next to it.

We hosted our wedding in the Restaurant,Il Vignardo, in The Hotel Issac in Feb
we ourselves stayed in the Hotel for 3 nights & many of our guests also stayed for 1 or 2 nights.
All I can say is that not 1 person had a complaint.
the rooms were so comfortable ,cosy & clean.the Hotel Staff were friendly helpful & warm ,they were wonderful.Room service was fast & friendly. And it so convenient for transport, buses, taxis, trains, the luas.
It also has a lovely Cafe Bar ,Le Monde, as well as the great Restaurant. I think for a City Centre Hotel in such a convieniant location it is perfect & very good value.
