The hotel is well situated for all of the tourist attractions, and is clean. The room was basic, but certainly adequate. Breakfast was nice. The bar is quite pleasant but with extortionate prices (in keeping with the rest of Dublin!) The only downfall this hotel appeared to have was the attitude of certain members of staff.
The brochure stated that the rooms were equipped with hairdryers, so I didn’t bother taking my own. However, when we got there, there wasn’t one in our room. I asked the receptionist where the hairdryer was on the evening, and she told me that there was only one hairdryer for the entire hotel, and that somebody else had already borrowed it. I asked her when I would be able to use it and she told me she would get it for me ‘when she could’, although in a very nasty manner. The next day I returned to borrow the hairdryer, to find she still hadn’t located it. Later that evening when I asked another receptionist for the hairdryer, I was treated in very much the same manner. it was actually the night after that when I managed to loan a hairdryer, which happened to be from another hotel!
Overall, certain members of the staff seemed to have appalling customer service skills. they gave the impression we were harassing them, even when we were trying to check in to the hotel!
