Stayed at the Paramount this year over St. Patrick’s weekend. Clean smart hotel in centre of Dublin.
Hotel in excellent location if you want to be close to all the bars, restaurants & nightlife.
We were also celebrating our wedding anniversary and the Hotel kindly upgraded our room.
Food was good. Really good breakfast each morning well worth the money.
Would stay in this Hotel again.

Nice Hotel, but.....
From 10pm until 2.30am, the noise from the Hotel’s nightclub was excessive to say the least. The music was so loud that I could feel the bass through my pillow and the bath was making a buzzing sound as the bass went through it. I could hear the lyrics to all of the music. I understand that there may be some noise experienced in these circumstances, but this was way beyond anything that I would consider reasonable.
There is no doubt that had I stayed in a tent I would have had a better night’s sleep. This is not something you would expect of a 4 Star Hotel.
Not recommended if you like sleeping.

This 3* star hotel is located slap bang in the middle of the Temple Bar area, close to great bars and restaurants. It is also within easy walking distance of the Grafton St and O'Connell St shopping areas. The hotel itself is excellent, we stayed in a no smoking en-suite double room, which was clean and well maintained. The staff are efficient and above all extremely friendly. (We were also able to check in at 9:30am rather than 2pm).
As for Dublin itself, what a place (as long as you don't mind paying through the nose). A pint of the black stuff will set you back an average 4 Euros (£2.80) and a 2 course meal 30 Euros (£21) although these prices get steeper the later you choose to stay out.
I can recommended Clarendon's chic and trendy bar, restaurant off Grafton St as a great place to eat (try the Sea Bass) and a visit to anyone of the Porterhouse pubs to sample Porter stout (a Dublin brewery), which holds well up to Guinness and the Wrasslers XXXX Stout (5%), which will knock your socks off!! Also take a walk over the Parliament street bridge to see the Old St. Mary's church (now a very trendy bar and restaurant) to sample anything from a good pint, cream teas or a 5 course meal. Well worth a look.
As for sight seeing the Guinness storehouse is a must. Trinity College is fabulous
The National Museum (free entry) worth a look
My advice would be to use the Dublin bus (15 Euros for a 24 hour pass) is a hop on hop off tour with guide taking you around all the major sites and offering discounts.
Overall the hotel is 8/10 and the experience of the Dublin 'craic' is 10/10.
