Expectation of the Hilton was maybe a little too high, but hotel was certainly very nice. The breakfast was excellent, although not sure whether we should have had the cooked breakfast or whether we were supposed to have had the continental breakfast - oh well never mind.
Hotel in close proximity to 2 great bars, The Barge and another I can't recall the name of, both open until at least 2.30am !

The hotel is located 2 tram stops away from St Stephens Green which can be walked in 10 minutes or on the tram 5 mins. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly, however there is one major drawback with it's location. If you are based at the side or back of the hotel is runs directly next to the tram line which is very noisy when taking a bend right on the corner of the hotel.
When I stayed it was a hot weekend and the rooms have no air con so we had to have the window open even though it doesn’t open very far and you couldn’t hear the TV when the tram passed as it screeches along that part of the track. The tram runs until midnight and starts up at 5am so it doesn’t give you much chance of a good nights sleep especially if it's hot as you will be sweating due to no air con.
On the whole it is ok if you are on a stag or hen do and are not really bothered about getting any sleep.
