A boutique hotel cunningly disguised as a B&B!

"Moments after arriving at Treann house, we started to relax - not sure if it had something to do with the chic lavender garden we walked through! I had 'phoned ahead and asked the very helpful Emma if she would be kind enough to put some Champagne on ice as it was my boyfriend's birthday - not only did she do this, but added some fresh strawberries too! Working in the TV industry and having stayed in 5 star hotels around the world, I can honestly say the standard of Treann house is excellent. To me service is incredibly important, and Emma and Paul are so genuinely friendly and helpful and seem to appear only when you need them as if by magic! The complimentary touches were a real treat - nibbles, olives, and wine, as well as aromatherapy toiletries - the breakfast was lovely too with homemade jams to boot! The I-pod dock was a great idea as made it more personal for us, being able to listen to our own music whilst sitting on the balcony looking at the beautiful view of the Estuary, sipping away!

Treann is spotless, light and clean with a quality feel, our room (Estuary) was absolutely gorgeous with a massive bed and big pillows - I have a picture of the view from the bed on my 'phone to remind me how to relax! We will definitely be returning next year if not before and cannot recommend it enough.

Great little B&B very close to all the attractions

"Great little B&B, only a few minutes walk from Padstow centre. Beautiful room (we stayed in the Cove Room), warm welcome, and great breakfasts.

There isn't any on-site parking, but you can park on the street for free.

An amazing place to stay and discover the delights of cornwall

"Treann is an amazing boutique B&B and I would highly recommend a stay here. We stayed for 3 nights in early June in the estuary room which is a beautiful light and airy room with amazing views across the estuary to Rock. We were blessed with great weather which allowed us to have breakfast on the balcony every morning, which was a wonderful way to start off the day. The breakfast menu was superb with lots of choice and very well cooked and presented. Our room was furnished to an extremely high standard with great little touches such as fresh coffee and chocolates and great local toiletries in the bathroom. Emma and her staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our trip and credit must be given to them for running a top class establishment. I wouldn’t think twice about returning to Treann or recommending it to anyone thinking of a break in Cornwall."

We often stay in 5* hotels, yet this was one of the most relaxing, welcoming and comfortable accommodations!

"We enjoyed the pleasure of staying at Treann House for three nights at the begining of June. This B&B is located on a hill overlooking Padstow Bay, with some rooms offering stunning sea views (we were lucky enough to get the weather). Over our three night stay we stayed in 2 of the house rooms, the 'estuary' and 'bay' rooms. Having just recently been refurbishd, the fruits of Emmas' labours were outstanding. Both were beautifully appointed with very comfortable furnishings, a mini-bar (with complimentary wine on arrival!), clean, airy and fantastic sunlight streaming in through bay windows. For once the website photos don't exagerate the reality. If you are planning to travel to Padstow, I promise you, you need look no further!!

Aside from the rooms we found Emma to be a lovely host, extremely friendly and she gave us some great advice on the local area, restaurants etc. There is an abundance of local restaurants and pubs (you won't have to rely on Rick Stein, though we tried his fish and chip takeaway and give it the tumbs up). If you are in the area we also recommend that you check out Port Issac and Fowey.

a special place

"The hotel was superb,a warm, friendly, beautifully decorated and comfortable place.2 minutes walk to beautiful Padstow.

The room was spacious, with a bathroom bigger than mine at home!Beautiful roll top bath.

The choice for breakfast was amazing,we needed to stay for another week to try all the options!!

Emma and her staff were warm and friendly,I mentioned to Emma that it was my partners birthday and she left a bottle of Cava in an ice bucket for our arrival, what a lovely thought.

We will definitely be going back, when we have saved up!It is worth every penny though.

If we had to say one negative thought, it was very noisy for a place that only has 3 rooms, loud music on 2 nights and when you want a relaxing break thats not great.

A real find

"We have just spent a couple of days at Treann House and would recommend it unreservedly. We stayed in the Cove room which was both elegant and comfortable. Emma and Paul are really to be commended on their attention to detail, from the nuts, olives and wine in the room, to the candles in the bathroom. We can't wait to go back,"

We struck gold in Padstow

"They say it’s the little touches that really make a difference and Treann comes out tops on all the things that really matter – decent shower, comfy bed, delicious breakfast (try the pancakes, amazing!). But we liked the suprise extras – a very welcome cup of tea on arrival, freebie chocolates in the room and candles and matches thoughtfully placed by the roll-top bath – couldn’t help feeling someone really cared about making sure we had a good time. Hadn’t been to Padstow for 20 years. It won’t be that long before I’m back if the standards at Treann are anything to go by. A great little find."

A wonderful place to stay

"A beautiful house in a good location with fantastic views. We stayed two nights to celebrate my husbands birthday and could not have wished for a nicer B&B. The Estuary room was elegant with the most wonderful wall to wall view towards Rock. Everything had been thought of in this establishment with particular attention to detail, even the tea cups and the cubed sugar containers were of a superior quality. The bed linen was whiter than white and everywhere was so clean. Fresh flowers and fluffy white towels, the list goes on. Emma was a lovely host and her breakfasts offered a good selection, well cooked with presentation being first class. We left Padstow to visit St Ives and St Austell but none of the B&B's we stayed at matched Treann House. Would certainly stay again."

Padstow - Boutique Hotel Style at B&B Price

"Treann is a real find - and a steal. We were celebrating our anniversary and we love Padstow, but didn't want to pay Rick Stein prices. Treann exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived; it's a statuesque large edwardian house with lovely proportions and beautifully styled. The light and airy Bay room we stayed in has stunning views of the estuary and we loved the boutique hotel-style touches: gorgeous linen, little fridge with complimentary (good) wine and free nibbles. Husband loved the digital radio and ipod doc and even the toiletries in the bathroom are made in Padstow. Breakfast didn't disappoint either, some of it locally sourced and homemade jam too. Owners very helpful and allowed us to enjoyed our privacy. Treann has cemented our opinion that a B&B can be equally as good an option as a boutique hotel, if not better. It's almost tempting not to share this place!"

A luxury B&B setting the standard for others to follow!

"The warmest of welcomes, every assistance given to specific requirements and faultless service provided throughout our two nights stay. Emma provided the personal touch of a B&B whilst delivering the efficiency and standard of a five star hotel. The room was gorgeous, the bed comfortable and the breakfast impressive in it's presentation and variety. There was only one problem; we didn't want to leave..

There is a Tourist Information Office in Padstow but we followed Emma's local knowledge and enjoyed taking a ferry to Rock for lunch and dined out in Padstow during the evening.

Excellent all round!
