awesome awesome awesome holiday!!!
excellent friendly staff, clean working room! what more can you possibly want- a toilet that flushes and amazing weather and excellent pool! the staff will stay up at the bar for as long as you want to be there....and the entertainment (the staff) are hilarious- watch out for the traditional dance!
we missed breakfast everyday however the water melon is meant to be immense. there are loads of restaurants and bars for atleast a mile starting from half a minutes walk from the hotel, my 'lamp shank' was delicious.
shopping at the markets at marmaris centre and ichmelar is brilliant as long as you have your haggling head on- loads of fun but remember to walk on-all the same things are everywhere. the dolmus buses are great to get around.
all in all an excellent holiday to do as you please when you please- don't take a watch!!!

We arrived at 3am in the morning it was very dull lighting,got to the room and discovered it was 2 single beds we had booked a double no drawer space, shower was dripping for 4 days after we complained,toilet seat cracked took 4 days to replace,the handrail into the pool was hanging off eventually it fell off,lift was broken had to walk up the stairs which were poorly lit,bed was not changed the time we were there,towels changed once,breakfast was not refrigerated so fine if you were there at 8am any later it was warm,cleanlines was just a joke,had to check change at bar as it was never the same?on leaving hotel asked to extend our room stay by 6hours the manager said no.the management were not interested would not recommend this hotel to anyone all of the other guests we spoken to said pretty much the same thing it was rubbish.seen the rep once did not make her times due at the hotel.

me & my partner carol had 2 weeks holiday at the sidero,the rooms were kept clean,all the staff are so friendly and made the holiday a holiday to remember, the turkish night is worth going to at the hotel, the pool and round the pool is kept clean, nothing was too much trouble for the lads who worked so hard to please, shopping in turkey is a real hassle and you get more for english money, we would like to thank all the staff at the sidero and a special big thanks to MR BEAN AND BILLY for all they did, and oh BILLY i didn't get a job as a waiter, (ha ha) thanks all

me and my girlfriend Maria arrived for our two week break.
* Hotel staff friendly & helpful.
* Rooms clean & tidy.
* Turkish night organised by hotel was great value.
* swimming pool great.
* Hotel a little noisy on occasion (acoustics) Hotel echoed a bit from banging doors.
* Only disadvantage with being bed & breakfast is you do not have a fridge in your room which would have been handy for keeping drinks cold.
* Local markets were great for getting the odd bargain, although you have to get used to their pushy sales tactics.
* For booking great excusions use Mr fish opposite the hotel for excellant value trips.
** Good advice is to take english money with you rather than Turkish lira as they get a better exchange rate for the pound.
Overall a nice hotel and holiday. May return next year.

I have just come back from a weeks holiday at Sidero Hotel.
This has been one of the best holidays I have ever had I did not want to come home..
Hotel - The rooms are basic but clean, fresh towels every other day and changed bedding a couple of times! The rooms also have a TV in which had BBC News and MTV which was really good :-)
Staff - They are the nicest people I have ever met, they are so friendly and make everyone feel welcome! They also get involved in all the games and things around the pool and generaly have a laugh.
Area - The hotel is just 5mins walk to the beach where's there entertainment and resturants! We loved the Three Brothers bar..
A 15min walk around the beach and you come to all the bars and clubs..I would recommend the beach club it was class in there.
I am looking now to book again for next year for 2 weeks, if not longer!

Thoroughly enjoyable, few minor faults, but nothing to complain about. VERY friendly, very clean, well stocked bar, fresh food and close to everywhere. Helpful when enquiring about local amenities and nightlife. The best of all has to be Maximus, how lovely?!?! clean pool, e.t.c..... GO THERE!!! We have stayed elsewhere in Marmaris (with more star rating) and found them to be considerably lacking compared to the Sidero. Recommend any time, ask to see the fish-tank....

This was my first time in Marmaris. I went with my mate and her auntie and uncle. We arrived early hours of the morning and weren't too impressed with the rooms to begin with... there were quite small and the curtains were a bit annoying and there was no fridge or safe in the room. We quickly warmed to it because we wouldn't be in the rooms very often. Cleaned daily b a maid, but be warned, if you want clean towels, you'll need and interpreter...she wont understand you at all! Also watch the balcony door handles...ours went missing and we couldn't get onto the balcony! The staff at Sidero were absolutely fantastic! Romeo had to be the best, he was hilarious. Ibo was very kind, and Eddie was cool. Michael...errrr well he's alright but he could be very very annoying!!! Then there's Alex and Maximus the giant German shepherd in reception...so adorable, don’t be put off by his size! He's lovely! Mr.Fish the tour guide across the road from the hotel was quite annoying, he pestered us for days but I think he finally got the message! Food was extremely good at the hotel, really would recommend having the Sunday dinner! The Yorkshire pudding is huge! And the chicken mushroom was gorgeous. Breakfast was brilliant, 5 lira for a full English or the free brekkie from 8-10 is nice. You get boiled eggs and cereal etc. Drinks at the bar are fantastic! Recommend the Sex on the Beach Fishbowl... 40 lira but well worth it!! Pool is great, but is very very cold! Just a hint though, when the pool area opens at 8 make sure u get a good sun bed otherwise you'll get nothing but shade! Get your towels ready! Definitely going to visit Sidero again, lovely atmosphere, great staff, brilliant hotel all round! See you next year Sidero!

I stayed at the Sidero Hotel for 14 nights with all my family. It caters for both children and adults and we all had a fantastic time there.
Though the rooms are a little bit small, they were kept very clean with daily maid service. All the staff at the Sidero hotel were very friendly, and by the end of the stay we saw them more as friends.
Mr Fish over the road is also fantastic. He will sort out any excursion you want to go on. He might be persistant but that's just how he is. He really is the cheapest around the Marmaris area!
We will certainly go back in 2008 or 2009.

It was my first time in Turkey and I couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. The Sidero hotel and the staff could not have made my stay any better than it was.
When I first arrived at the hotel I was disappointed at the size of the rooms but that didn’t matter because we only slept in them.
You can not meet anyone in the world who are as nice as the members of staff at Sidero. They will do anything to make your stay fabulous, except they do throw you in the pool from time to time.
Chef makes the best food you have tasted so I would defiantly recommend having tea in the hotel. Also the entertainment provided by the staff is great. They dance all night and you may even get asked to join in.
I would go on boat trips and get a Turkish bath. You can go to Mr Fish for trips. He will give you a great deal .You can find him directly opposite the hotel and he is always coming into Sidero.
The manager Action man is great and also Steph the rep will do anything to help.
I am certain I will be returning hear next year.

Myself and my fiance have just literally returned from a week at the Hotel Sidero and we couldn't wait to leave that place. The rating we were told by Thomas Cook was 3* but it wasn't even a 1*. The rooms were described as basic but I wouldn't even call them that!!!! They are dirty, definately behind the times, light fittings hanging off the walls, toilet never been cleaned, floors never been cleaned, bed linen and towels had dirty stains on them (and they are meant to be clean) and hot water in very short supply. Sinks in bathroom stank of sewerage. Very noisey hotel - you can hear every door banging, and the people in the next room . The breakfast is not even worth looking at, let alone trying. We paid for bed and breakfast but refused to eat there. The tableclothes were disgusting and the staff looked like they had been dragged in off the street. The receptionists in particular were extremely unhelpful and thought nothing of either leaving the front desk to have a fag on the terrace, or ignoring you completely and let you wait whilst there preferred to speak to a colleague. This is the first and last time we will go to turkey & book with Thomas Cook. The rep was young and really didn't seem to care. There was no welcome drink at the Welcome Meeting, even in 40 degree heat. The sun loungers around the pool were shabby and dirty and the pool bar stank constantly of sewarage. I wouldn't even recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The majority of people this hotel is geared for are 18 - 25 year olds. Marmaris is loud and noisey with no turkish charm or character what so ever. If you love Fun Pubs and Karioke bars then this will be right up your street. Don't waste your money coming here. We were certainly ripped off.
