Let me start by saying i have holidayed in Turkey several times and have never had a bad experience..until now
We arrived at 5am, we had asked our holiday supplier (co-op) for a ground floor apartment as my mother is blind, we were given a room on the 5th floor due to co-op not informing the hotel of our needs.
the rooms we were put in was very basic and the roof was at a very steep angle which meant it had just over 2ft above 6ft in height.
Ate at the hotel twice and twice we got food poisoning i then refused to eat there again, second day into the holiday having spent quite a bit of time in the pool, we were sat in the bar area when a member of staff came out and used a mop bucket to take water out of the pool they spread this water all across the floor then continued to brush it back into the pool this was the last time i swam in the pool, we were forced to use other hotel facilities to enjoy a swim or food .
The hotel was supposed to be self catering, however we had no microwave, no toaster and a 2 ring cooker that tripped the mains every time you switched it on
towards the end of the first week started to get a chest infection which continued to get worse, along with everyone else who had swam in the pool this just got worse and worse, returned home and sought medical advice, was diagnosed with LEGOINAIRES DISEASE 5 days after returning home, this was caused by the crap and detritus thsat was in the pool of this hotel.
In the first week we found mice in the apartment and informed the desk, they told us to leave them alone and dont touch, but nothing else was done to remedy this, another couple complained about the room and was kicked out of the hotel, we asked to speak to our rep only to be told that no reps had ben in the hotel in over 6 months.
If you have the misfortune to be put into this rattrap then i really feel your pain, this is a terrible hotel and may have once been good but now its a nightmare i cannot tell you strongly enough to not go to this hotel.

we had booked to stay here for 2 weeks in september. we arrived got dumped outside at 4am with cases and our 1 year old! with no point of access in site! we found our way in to find a chap half asleep not a good word of english. sign that! that was it room key given and said room up lift no help with cases nothing no welcome nothing! apartment was small and untidy! only one plug socket worked switches hanging off the walls. but yet we didnt move or complain. we paid for a room safe (digital) 3 days into the holiday the room was accessed with a key and the safe was opened with no force! ie with a code or machine and they stole 200 pounds! and left 500. hotel refused to call police and said go back to your room silly man! we then called the police and they came and hotel soon changed there attitude the hotels current guests also explained to us that there had been several thefts from rooms and safes with no damage to room door or safe!!! THE HOTEL is involved in these goings on just play dum to it all! not only that every single guest had a chest infection due to the pool water it was more like a swamp than pool we was there 3 days and 7 couples asked to be moved! we got moved to another hotel just up the road that was great very welcoming & clean (Sindy Apart)

Well I am just back from this hotel and i have been to Dubai, Majorca, Tenerife, Sydney and Maldives for my honeymoon, and to be honest it was one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in! Its food is lovely, the rooms are quite basic but extremely clean with your maids coming in and cleaning them every day. The staff are so friendly and funny and are a huge hit with children. The hotel is so family orientated with activities during the day from darts to water polo. The swimming pool is reasonably big and has a flume which is a big hit with the children even some adults. The beach is 20 - 30 minutes walking distance, the nightlife: bars, restaurant, clubs etc is a 10 minute taxi drive away. The reseption is open 24 hrs and the staff are the most helpful people telling you were to eat were to visit they are amazing. I would highly recommend the Club Orient. One big tip for going to Tukey is BRING INSECT SPRAY!! Enjoy the sun, sea, sand and THE CLUB ORIENT!! :D

Club Orient, located in Armatulan Marmaris had closed for a year as the previous owners had left and someone else bought it over. We were the 1st family listed on their bookings on Mon 3 August (booked under Carlile). This was a last minute holiday for us and the first time we had stayed in Turkey and we will definately be back next year to the same hotel, which is located about 5 minutes from the busy main part of Marmaris, it is ony a 5 minute bus journey which is by No 2 bus. The first thing I noticed was how genuinly friendly and helpful the Turkish people are, especially to children. My 4 year old was very much adored by every local that saw her!! The food was excellent, especially the different kebabs we tried, my favourite was the Anatolian Kebab - it is served to you in a huge turkish dish above heated flames, also the Chicken and lamb faitas were amazing!!! The excursions were very good. We got ours from a very friendly local who called himself 'Oh Yes'!! The Boat Trip is great, but the one to try is the Jeep Safari - it is water fights the full day with other jeeps - brilliant fun!!! Another place we went back to was a place called 'Hot Stuff'round the corner from the Club Orient - the dance music is pumping out and the waiters all get up to dance - it is great fun - Ali was one of the waiters there, from Istanbul, who was responsible for getting holiday makers into the place - he did a good job as he was very charming!! Turish people love their music and love to dance and try and give you a good holiday experience - I will definately be going back next year!! Hello to Jesus, Joe, Sebastian, GoKan,Hassan and Ali.

been to orient 3 times this year and cannot fault the hotel its self. the receptonists were extremely helpful!! the bar how ever was a completely different kettle of fish . yes the entertainment was good and the staff were mostly nice, but thats what they are payed to do. but i can honestly say i could not believe that the younger waiters were sleeping with girls as young as 14 to 15. booking rooms to take them to !! considerng the majority had supposidly girlfriends they loved back n england !!! and i watch with my own eyes that when there girlfriends went home they moved in on the next girls that arrived !! so my warning is to the responsible parents of the young girls watch them intently, as young girls are so easily flattered by their charms !!!!!!

Me and my friend have just returned fron club orient, we are 28 and 26, wot can we say........, had an absolutely fab time THE BEST holiday we have EVER had!!! The appartments are basic but very clean and have everything you need for a self catering holiday. Safety deposit box was ultra s****y and air con made getting ready on a night much nicer! We stayed in room 508 which was on the top floor, so had a great pool view and balcony was a decent size and a wicked sun trap, although only down side was no furniture...had to use stools from the dining room table. Reading this back it seems were being really faddy but we can honestly say all in all it was a fab place to stay and would highly recommend it as a lively holiday to ages 18-30, as we went for a energetic holiday it certainly exceeded all the boxes and some!!!
Ok....so now for the staff!! Now then lads, where do we start!!!! First of all we would love to know where they get their energy from as they never seem to sleep. They are all extremently pleasant and can't do enough for you...they certainly made our holiday more 'entertaining!' Valentino we luurrrrrve you!! He was brilliant...constant entertainer, and was fab with all the kids. Romeo Romeo where for art thou Romeo!!! He is certainly easy on the eye. Jay Jay - i'd love to know how you learnt to move those hips like you do!! Lovely guy, made us laugh and smile, A LOT! Although did 'cheat' when playing games!! (haha sorry couldnt resist!) Thanks to John the hotel Manager for the dvd nights and the Tefal stories!! Big shout out to Cheeky (the dog)...hes bloody gorgeous! As for the rest Bobby, Mahoney, Ricardo, Georgie and Martin thanks for giving us some fab memories, and keep up the hard work.
These appartments really deserve a 10/10 rating...the only reason we havent gave it is my mobile phone 'went missing' out of our room. The Management were very helpful and it was partly my fault as i didnt put it in the safety deposit box. Although this does show that i felt it was safe enough to leave it out...
Think were gonna cry now...!! can't wait to get back and hope your all still there. And most important remember..."Life is for living!"

My mother booked a holiday to turkey (our first time) as i have a disability my mum asked holidays4u if the hotel had concrete steps going into the pool and they said yes when we arrived the steps going into the hotel was cracked and the disabled access had a carpet which was all wrinkled and no good for me for the two weeks i was not able to use the adult pool as the ladders were just about coming out the ground i was only able to use the baby pool, their was nothing about near our hotel apart from two pubs and allot of shops i would never reccomend club orient to anyone especially when cats are roaming about where food gets served as it was an open place to eat
