Excellence maintained
from A TripAdvisor Member
It is the second review I am contributing about Moevenpick Hotel Istanbul, and I can only praise the high level of excellence this property has achieved. We revisited the hotel and this time we had our kids along. The staff made our stay very comfortable and everything was flawless. Our 2 connecting rooms on the 10th floor were maintained in excellent condition and cleanliness. Breakfast buffet had a huge variety of Continental-British and Turkish items both in terms of quality and quantity, it even included several items...

good

A good business hotel, if you visit Istanbul for business. Very nice room, a fine breakfast, beautiful and modern building, nice bar at the lobby. But too far from the center (there is a metro station near which can easily get you to Taksim, but it takes time). Surroundings are ordinary, nothing special.
Avoid!!

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel. Their only interest is to get as much of your money as possible. There were added charges for almost everything -- more than one person in a room, breakfast (complimentary at most Istanbul hotels) for more than one person, internet connections, etc. The staff was very unhelpful. Their initial response to any request was NO!. Check out was a disaster. Their statements are very confusing -- and only then do you discover the added charges (we were not the only people having this problem...

Management response from istturk
Dear Guest,
With reference to your review titled Avoid on June 15,2007, we regret that you got an unpleasant impression on our hotel during your stay. For your service requests, we put a lot of efforts in training our staff to make sure our guests feel welcome and well looked after. The very large number of repeat customers we have, mainly return because of our staff's positive and friendly attitude. We apologize if you did not receive the services you expected. Our pricing is transparent from the time of booking to the check out, there are no hidden/delayed charges - this can be verified at any time.We would appreciate an opportunity to convince you that our utmost goal and focus is to satisfy our customers. Should you visit Istanbul again, please do not hesitate to contact us.

nice hotel but let down by surroundings
from HisFussiness
There is no doubt that this is a quality hotel and I chose it as the rate seemed reasonable over the New Year period. Rooms are a good size and the breakfast is fantastic with a choice ranging from savoury Thai to cooked 'English'. On the negative side, though this may be the business district please don't expect Canary Wharf or Wall Street. The hotel is hard up against a busy dual carriageway and overlooks a generally grim-looking area with buildings in the process of demolition. It's not the location to pop out for a wander - I don't think...

Excellent business hotel
from gana
I have booked two nights in an executive room. I would recommend this type of room because the breakfast is included in the price, the rooms are in the top floor and you have access to the vip lounge in the 20th floor. There you have access to a private font desk for your check in, and you can stay in the bar for a complimentary continental breakfast or open buffet breakfast, snacks/beverages throughout the day, alcoholic beverages and hot/cold snack buffet between 6pm to 8pm. I booked my stay thanks to the hotel website. In...

A real Turkish (hotel) delight!
from Juanee
We concluded our (very short) Insight Tour of Turkey with an overnight stay at this gem of a hotel. Swift check-in, great facilities (nice gym) and location (close to "outlets" and Kanyon mall-one subway stop), not to mention killer ice cream! Breakfast was a great mix east-west spread. Rooms were quite spacious and modern. An added surprise that they extended our check-out time till late in the afternoon. My only reservation is that, since I left the turkish bath experience for my last day, i was slightly surprised to find the...

Uber cool
from norelli
Our Insight tour ended with an overnight stay here. This was another nice 5 star hotel which I would describe as uber cool! The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. The real stand out was its bar - atmosphere at night was cool and funky! Breakfast was superb - it had a 5 star quality about it . There are plenty of shops and shopping centres nearby and a Metro to take you sightseeing. Another one of my favourite hotels.
Excellent business class hotel !!

Spent 4 nights in this hotel and it's simply excellent. Rooms are typical European size (a tad small), however they are well appointed. Extremely clean and well maintained. Staff is extremely friendly and quite helpful. Restaurant food is very good, though meals, cocktails and mini bar are on the expensive side. Could have used a coffee pot and a iron/ironing board in the room. Great location for business. About a 15 min. cab ride (assuming light traffic) to the old town historic area or to the Bosphorous River. Would definately...

Friendly, helpful staff
from KK06
I couldn't quite bring myself to give it a 5 but this really is one of the better hotels, particularly if you have access to the Executive (Skyline) Lounge. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly, helpful and efficient, the food was good (though servings sometimes too copious and there is only one restaurant). Breakfast and evening food in the Skyline Lounge was better, with more variety, than in many such lounges. I was lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite and got the only one (I was told) with a door between the...

beautiful boutique hotel
from nell-australia-7
stayed here for one night as part of a group. Beautifully appointed hotel, with excellent staff and great breakfast. About 20 minute walk to a large shopping mall (or faster on the Metro). Did not go into the old town from this hotel so can not comment upon the location for other sites but the hotel is very close to a Metro station. Would recommend the hotel if you need a quiet and beautiful place to stop over in Istanbul, but is about 30 km from airport (no complimentary transfer from the hotel).
