The place is fantastic. The apartments are across a road from the pool and bar area, but if you want to get away from the noise at the end of the day that is great.
The people behind the bar/ reception are so funny, helpful and kind.
The pool is clean ... cold but clean! I would go back without hesitation.
The place is 10 minutes to both beaches, old town and new. we had entertainment most nights, karaoke, parrot show, bingo and a party night - though none of these start till 9pm, the parrot show was 10.30pm which is really late for kids but he gets booked to do other places.
We went with Thomson the rep was very helpful and kind. As a single parent I was a bit worried about going with 2 kids but the place and people were great.
If you are taking children I suggest a trip to coconut one bar, they do party games for the kids from 9pm the bar is on the strip on the left side of it, it really is worth a visit my sons both won on games and he tries to let different kids win each night.
Also for a really nice friendly English restaurant try Mary Anns on the strip ( new town) the food is lovely, home cooked, big portions and colouring for kids too.

A great holiday. The apartments were basic but very clean.
The staff were lovely; funny and very helpful.
The apartments were in a great location about 10 minutes to both the old town and the new town.
We have already booked again for next year.

Dec 2006, Miss Laura From Liverpool

I stayed at the Quinta Da Bellavista Apartments in Aug 06 with my family for 2 weeks, we had a fantastic time.
The rooms were really clean and spacious. There was plenty to do of a day, you could join in the pool games or just relax by the pool. You could even take a stroll to the beach which was just 10 mins away.
At night there was also plenty going on you had karaoke, parrot shows and extravaganza or you could even have a game of bingo which was fun to join in with. But most of all, the best entertainment was the bar staff, they were brilliant.
I am planning on going back next summer.

Arrived to be met by friendly staff shown to our apartments which were clean and tidy all the staff were very friendly and entertaining. Loved the old town always something going on for adults and children etc puppet shows cocktail bars.
Entertainment in bar was fun for all. Beaches wasn’t far from apartments a nice walk took about 10 to 15 mins either way with plenty to see on your way. Night life was great slide and splash and zoo marine worth a visit and doesn’t cost much would definitely go again as have been two years running.

After reading all the bad reviews, it was great the apartment was clean and tidy. Our room overlooked a crazy golf area, (not part of the apartments) we had to leave a fifty euro deposit. The intercom on the outside of the apartments don’t work so if you haven’t got a key you can’t get in.
The pool area is nice, the water park (slide and splash) was great but we booked it at the supermarket down the rd as it was cheaper and it was with the bus included. We went to the old town which was nice the only one thing I didn’t like was the beach not being close, you had to walk 10 mins threw the town to get to.
Would I go back again yes but in some years I got the rest of the world to see. The bar to the apartments is small the entertainment is not that good

Oct 2006, Ms K Carruthers

Having been to Albufeira before we were looking forward to our holiday. My partner and I took both our sons with us who were also looking forward to the holiday.
On arrival we were greeted by a member of staff at the 'reception desk' the area surrounding it was no bigger than my kitchen.
Once we were booked in we were then pointed in the direction of the apartment block where we were to spend the next 2 weeks. Once the door was opened we then had to climbed 3 flights of stairs before we actually got to our room, once inside it didn't take me long to see that it was dirty. The kitchen area was disgusting. Each time you walked across the floor, the paint would come off the tiles and stick to your feet. The cooker was dirty and greasy and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned at all. The sheets were changed once a week, so I ended up taking them to the launderette just round the corner and washing them myself.
I complained to the staff, and after 2 days I eventually got hold of the rep. He managed to get us another room on the 'ground floor' but we had to wait till Sunday which was another 5 days away. Between the noise from the busy road and the dustman at 5.30 in the morning I was becoming very fed up and angry at having to wait so long for a move. The rep did however offer us a move to another hotel but it would cost another £300 roughly.
The sign outside these apartments say either 3 or 4 star I think there no more than a 2.
The pool area isn't very big either once there is about eight or so people in there you don’t have much room to swim let alone anything else.
I personally would not go back to these apartments at all but would go back to Albufeira which has brilliant beaches and night life.
We went back to Zoomarine and instead of slide and splash we tried Aqualand which was fantastic especially if you like slides that start from great heights.

Apartments very basic. Not suitable for families with small children because there are steps to rooms steps to pool. Staff were quite friendly
Try the New York pizza cafe very nice or for English breakfast try Picau behind McDonalds. For children’s entertainment go to coconuts 1 its fantastic.
Cheap supermarket at bottom of street pingo dolce wide choice of things.

Aug 2006, Miss S Howie

Had an amazing time at this hotel. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful, also very funny. Excellent entertainment on four nights a week which was fun for all of the family.
Apartments were very clean and tidy, over a non-busy road from the reception and bar area.
The hotel was in a very good area, just a 15 minute walk from 'the strip' ad a 15 minute walk from the 'old town'. There is a bar next to the reception and bar area which is excellent with friendly staff, and didn't shut till 3 every morning!
Had such a good time, I am planning to go back next year.

These apartments are brilliant. The location is in 10 minutes from 'the strip' and ten minutes from 'the square'. We preferred the square, more chilled than the strip but still very exciting! The apartments are basic and if you want more luxury you have to go elsewhere. The bar staff are excellent with both adults and children, really helpful and provide a free minibus down to the beach and then later on bring you back! The rooms are on the other side of the road, but it is not that busy.
They are a decent size, with small fridge freezer, decent cooker, double bed. We were provided with a low floor which we asked for, but the top rooms you get a decent view of the sea! The pool is not very big but really enjoyable. Entertainment is on four times a week and is ok, I would recommend a trip to the Slide and Splash, about €80 for a family of four, that includes a bus there and back and you spend all day there.
Would I go back again? Definitely, maybe not next year but soon. Highlights? Bar staff. The square and beach (beautiful) and the water park.

Arrived at a not too bad reception...

May 2006, Mrs E Law

Arrived at a not too bad reception area only to be taken across the road to a separate, dingy, dirty looking building.
On entering I was aware of the smell which I can only describe as urine. We requested a ground floor apartment because we had 2 pushchairs and what they describe as ground floor, had 2 small flights of stairs. Internally the small, dingy studio apartment had no beds - only a bed settee with the most appalling bed linen. I could not stand the smell of the apartment and I therefore complained to the tour rep.
I was told there was nothing that could be done and her words were “I personally would not have booked on the internet and would not have requested a studio apartment” She also said that we should have gone for a higher rating if we wanted better accommodation. My husband pointed that the star rating is about the facilities available and not about cleanliness.
Fortunately my husband's parents had a rather large apartment in Albufeira and we were able to stay with them for the week. We only used the studio to keep our luggage in.

The place is lovely.
There is lots of things to do and the people who work in the hotel are wonderful.
It was the best holiday iv ever been on and I’m going again next year
I would recommend it to anyone because its a most see area and apartment :-P
The beach (fisherman’s) has many interspersing things to do and see
The new town is good for shopping and has many nice bars
The old town is also very good because the beach is there and it is a touch of culture
There are many attractions e.g. :
-Slide and Splash
-Zoomarine
-swimming with dolphins
-wine tasting etc
Definitely the best part of the holiday was the hotel because the bar staff and bus driver is absolutely wonderful.
Also you should go on the Noddy train because its funny :-)
