When we first arrived at the hotel the staff were very helpfull an friendly the rooms were basic but clean had everything needed for a self catering holiday.
we had clean towels everyday, and clean bed sheets. pool size was adequate with plenty of sun loungers and a nice sitting area.
Very Caring, funny and helpful staff.
We had a ground floor apartment and the only down fall of this was the volume of traffic during the night.
Would we go back? Yes we would.
Considering our rep was useless. we had more help and assistance from the staff of the hotel.
Good location at Albufeira with everything at walking distance.
many thanks to the staff .x

The staff where very funny and made you feel very welcome but at the same time controlled some of the young rowdy kids and kept them under control with humorous discipline . The room me and my partner stayed in was a studio room very spacious but may be a bit dated, the kitchen units and patio doors could do with being modernized, however they where very clean which is the main priority.
It’s the first time I have been to Portugal in June, I have been in February before to play golf but I would not advise playing golf in June its was red hot and you could not walk on the sand it was that hot.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for and the price for this holiday was very cheap and I cant crumble at all
The overall costs for 2 adults eating out [breakfast and evening meal] drinking and buying general items like water, some food, papers etc, sun lounger 5 days on beach, by the way the sun loungers on the sea front at the old town fishermen beach which is very nice are 15 Euro for 2 loungers and a parasol for the day which is quite expensive, I would say overall £500.0 for 2 adults should be enough.
We preferred the old town it had a lot more character than the strip, overall we would go back to the Algarve but may be pay a little more and go for a slight better apartment and pool, but at the end of the day it come down to budgets and 90% of people would not be disapointed staying here .

Basic apartments but clean, we stayed...

Jun 2008, Miss L R

Basic apartments but clean, we stayed in studio which was a lot more spacious than I was expecting, cooking facilities were better than most I have seen abroad! My 3 year old enjoyed the pool , a few have said it's small but seemed plenty big enough for everyone whilst I was there.
Location was good and Albufeira itself has plenty to do for everyone. Prefered the Old Town, too many idiots selling crap on the Strip! (timeshares, fake rolex, Hash!)
Staff were great, made real effort with both kids and adults, can see why people return there year after year. Entertainment was good but could do with putting on a show on weekend tho. Would definitely stay here again.
Bargain holiday aswell, only cost £500 for 2 adults and 1 child for 2 weeks, well worth the money.

After arriving at the hotel the staff showed us our room when we walked in we needed the lights on to see even in the afternoon so dark. The room was big and clean, it said there would be some slight noise from traffic but every morning even weekends at 2.30 in the morning the bins where been emptyed then at 6.30 the road sweeper was up and down the road. The staff where funny and helpful unlike the the rep, the pool was small and cold but clean. Outside the hotel the footpaths where in a terrible state no good for pushchairs eating out was good found some nice places to eat. Would go back to portugal but never back to that hotel we need another holiday to get some sleep 2 weeks of hell all the guests at the hotel couldnt wait to go back home.

It was our first time in portugal and we were really impressed. Our apartment was more like a house a lot bigger than we expected. The staff were funny, friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in the middle of the old and new town about 20mins slow walk each way. The hotel do provide a courtesy bus down to the old town that beach is lovely. There are also 2 supermarkets down the road pingo doce and modelo. KFC, Mcdonalds and Pizza hut are right by the supermarkets 5 mins walk away. We had some really nice food, overall we had a brillant holiday and will definetly go back to the same hotel the next time we go to portugal.

We have stayed at Quinta De Bellavista for the last three years, the rooms are basic but clean. The service provided is excellent and the staff friendly, good for couples and families. Going to go this year again just love the area and its a great place to stay.
The beach is a ride away by their in house mini bus or you can take a stroll and your there in 20mins, then you got the new town that is equally as close and caters for all age groups. The weathers always great and the beaches are not over crowded try, it yourself.

This was the 3rd time we have been to Portugal and used the same accommodation, the apartments are situated within walking distance to either the Old town or the strip.
The apartments are clean and maids come in six times a week. To get to the pool you have to cross over the road, that was the only bit that we didn't like much.
These are family run apartments and the staff are great, always having fun. I would definitely recommend this place, we have already booked again for next year.

We booked this holiday only a few...
7 / 10
Sep 2007, Mr A King

We booked this holiday only a few days before departure on an 'allocation on arrival' basis. We were given a shortlist of three and having checked them all out in brochures we hoped that we would not be allocated the Bellavista due to the pool area seeming rather small.
We were pleasantly surprised as the apartment was spacious, reasonably clean and situated literally over the road from the reception, bar and pool. The bar staff were all friendly, helpful and seemed genuinely eager to keep everyone happy during their holiday, I felt that the staff were good at being funny and keeping people cheerful at all times of the day. Our rep was a lad called Richard, he too was very pleasant and helpful.
The Bellavista provided a free bus to the beach, we used this as it is quite a long walk. The beaches in Albufeira are some of the best I have seen in Europe. There are two supermarkets nearby, the Modelo is definitely the better as the other (Pingo Doce) has staff that wander around like extras from 'Shaun of the dead'.
I was not too pleased with the Infante cafe next door to the reception, we went for a meal there and in honesty it was awful, this cafe had been recommended to us so we may have just been unlucky.
A few days later I sent my lad to buy some chips from the cafe's takeaway, we were charged 8 Euros for two small foil dishes of soggy French fries, this must have been the easiest money the cafe earned all week.
If you like rowdy bars with lots of noise and drug dealing going on then I strongly recommend 'the strip' be your choice for the evening. We much preferred the 'old town', it still had a massive choice of bars, restaurants and shops (selling the same old stuff) but there was a much friendlier family atmosphere, street performers were scattered around and there was a feeling of being somewhere special.
We enjoyed a superb steak dinner at the O Manjar restaurant which is situated on a side street found during our stroll into the Old Town. The choice for eateries is immense and if you fancy something a little more closer to home there is still KFC and McDonalds within walking distance of the apartments. We were only pestered by Timeshare touts twice and they were respectful when we declined their advances with our well rehearsed response of 'yes I am British but I’m not interested thank you'.
Albufeira is great but I suspect that there are nicer and more worthwhile places to visit in Portugal, speaking of which I have to say that this was our first ever visit to the Algarve and I found the Portuguese to be a good natured and friendly people.

Aug 2007, Mrs Amanda From Wigan

The apartment very very large - on 2 floors - and two bedrooms. Very clean.
We were at the back facing the mini golf. The staff were great and funny.
Only down side was the noise from neighbouring locals. On Saturday night it went on past 3am, and with 2 kids and creaky beds - it got a bit much. Although this was the not fault of apartments.
Then the locals getting their kids up for school - there was one woman shouting for ages every morning to wake them up - next block to the left as you are looking at the golf. What a noise. No chance of a lie in until 9am then - after all with late nights and 2 kids - 9am get up was needed.
We sat on the large balcony and terraces in the morning while the kids tried to sleep in for a while.
If there was guaranteed not to be the same level of noise again - I would go again for a cheap holiday. Basic but cheap.
Great walks to the old and new town. Supermarket round the corner.
A bit up hill coming back from the Strip past the petrol station - got a taxi for 3 euros - well worth it.
