booked a holiday for a 4 star hotel Coral Sea resort, when we arrived and were speaking to people we find the hotal had been down graded. I would totally agree with the down grade, although the staff were very pleasant, the hotal rooms left a lot to be desired, they are in need of a serious update in decor, the bathroom was in a poor state with chips in the bath and just generally run down. We had a flood in the room on the first night, ok it rained really hard,it was down to us to put out the rugs to dry the following day. This was supposed to be a romantic holiday for 2, our room had single beds. I feel we paid a fair price for the holiday we paid £658 each the full price was over £2,000, I would have been extremely disappinted if I'd of paid this amount of money to stay here. We also feel that the spa facilities were not up to scratch, it seemed as though the people here were possibly not fully trained. The holiday reps were also very poor with giving details and updating us on information,we booked a trip to jerusalem, we didnt find out until we had to make a phone call that the coach left in the middle of the night, we were told it was a day trip,we were away for 26hours? on the whole very disappointing.

First impression of the hotel was good. The rooms are large and spacy and clean. The bed however was like a rock. Hard as hell. Pools were good. kids loved them. We trvelled with a group of 15 people and every one of us had 4 days to a week of severe diarrhoea, possibly from the fish, but it could have been from anything. The food was awful. they certainly did not cater for everyone. I can understand how some might like the food and I appreciate that I am fussy, but everything was cooked in a garlic sauce or was spicy. Even when they had italian night the pizzas were covered in alsorts of stuff, no margaritta. I asked about this and said could they not make anything plain and if people wanted anything else they could add it themselves. I was wasting my breath. The kids were begging by the end of the week to go to Mcdonalds or KFC or anywhere because they hated the food and to be fair so did I. I ate an awful lot of burgers in the second week as I just could not face the hotel food. The entertainment was the same as any other hotel that is AI. Fairly poor, but at least they had some. They had 2 karaoke nights but they were in the Mexican Bar and you had to buy your drinks, so on those 2 nights there was no entertainment in the hotel. The hotel staff were lovely and worked very hard and if you gave a small tip, they couldn't do enough for you. the private beech is tiny with hardly any room to move.
I enjoyed the pools and you could get served at the bars as soon as you went and everything looked great, but I only give it a 4 because of the food.

Ill keep this short. Hotel clean and situated in the heart of Naama Bay. Staff are fantastic especially the bar tender Hassan and his boss Benny. In July the weather was brilliant 39-47 so its hot. The pool is clean and easy to get a sunbed. The swim up bar is good and hassan will keep your glass topped up. The food is ok, nothing special but lots of choice especially at Breakfast. Staff in the restraunt are also very friendly. There are other pools if the main one is too busy.
Naama Bay is great for shopping. Expect hastle and never pay full price. But all is good banter and safe. There are literally tourist police on every corner including the entrance to the hotel.
The beach is only a minute walk away. There is a beach bar and the area is clean but i can imagine in the school holidays cramped. Expect to be hastled to buy trips even when sitting round the pool. But do the quad biking and cammel in the desert. Booked through a guide immediatley to the right of the hotel. Fair, cheap and willing to barter and no hastle if you dont want to book.
Entertainment is ok but to be fair we spent most nights in the bay itself.
Expect an upset tummy. However this is what i was told and its so true. If you get an upset tummy go to the pharmacy to the right of the hotel and use egyption tablets to get rid. Tablets bought in the UK do little to remove the bug. Their tablets will have you right within a couple of days.
I went to Tunisia in Sept and was hoping for a holiday similar to this but there is no competition. This hotel and holiday wins hands down. People are just so much more friendly here.
Loved it and would definatly revisit one day.

As per all the other comments this hotel is very nice, clean and in the perfect location in Naamma Bay. Pools are great too! The hotel has a main hotel and also other apartments which are at the back of the hotel up a hill.... these are nice but not so nice to have to trek to in Egyptian heat! We also had an expensive mobile phone and some money stolen from our room. Security is tight so one assumes it could only have been the cleaner.. whom of cause denied this and no phone or money was ever retrived.

We spend one week and the hotel was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite big, with high ceilings and balcony, well furnished and perfectly clean.
The main pool is heated so it is perfect for a night or early morning swim. Behind the main building and overlooking the Naama Bay there are villas and hotel rooms 6-7-800 that form a kind of residential village, with 4 pools, nice gardens, a tennis court to be finished, kids playground and superb desert views.
It is quieter than the main hotel (where you get a kind of continuous low noise from the center) and somehow not everybody gets there (access through the 3-th floor). The breakfast is ok, service is great. Hotel's private beach is 200m away and too small, too crowded and animated, that is the only bad point but we stayed to other beaches nearby paying daily fees of 15-20 Euro for 2.
The central position is excellent for going out for lunch and diner, plenty of excellent restaurant around. Excellent for couples with kids, superb value for money.

Excellent hotel, and an excellent holiday. Attention to detail was great and the personal interaction with the staff and management was unusual compared to European resorts. Some times, they were slow to get things done i.e. ordering a meal at the hotel-they do things in ‘Egyptian time’. Diving was great, weather great and people very friendly.
Would definitely go back and visit despite recent bombings.

A fabulous hotel, right in the heart of the action. ALL the staff were attentive and genuinely friendly. The room was kept so clean and tidy. The hotel grounds were 'smoked' each evening to keep the bugs at bay. The security was tight (even without the recent threat) but not restrictive nor obtrusive. There was such a huge choice at breakfast (buffet style so you didn’t really need lunch). There’s no need to pack beach or pool towels as these were provided.
The attendants can't do enough for you! The private beach is a five minute stroll away (I walk slow in the heat!!). There were two pools (apparently there are three but we only found two). The main one (all the balconies surround it) was heated which was lovely for an early morning swim. We did a trip to Cairo which left in the early hours and because we would miss breakfast they arranged for a packed breakfast for us.
The nightlife and eateries were a VERY short stroll away. The only taxis we needed to take were to explore the different snorkelling sights everything else was on our 'doorstep'. A fabulous holiday and at a fabulous hotel.
