Just returned from two weeks at this hotel and feel like I have left friends behind. We found the facilities excellent and the position overlooking the turquoise blue sea beautiful but what makes this family run hotel a cut above the rest are the people. From the moment... more

Overall not a bad holiday. Psalidi is a buzzing resort, next to Kos Town with some nice Tavernas. They all have the same menu but the quality of the food varies quite dramatically. The beach is just pebbles, so if you want sand you have to go into Kos. The weather was... more

I have been to Kos previously staying at the Iberostar hotel which was great. Kos town and harbour is lovely, a wide variety of restaurants all serving delicious food. The hotel was a let down, breakfast and the amenities were basic. The pool area is filthy when we... more

The hotel itself is average. Before we went people said that its more like a 4star than a 3star hotel - unfortunately we disagree and think its more like a 2star. Apparently some of the rooms have been refurbished but we had a rather grotty, small room. The cups that came... more

The Niriides hotel from the outside looks like any other. From the inside, it has the usual nice pool & bars etc. The rooms are not too bad really. You get a fridge, H/dryer, Kettle, Air/con (chargeable) Maid service 6 days a week..... However, where the Niriides beats the... more

Always great value for money
3rd year here and it gets better every time, the owners and staff are great, nothing is too much trouble and they are always helpful, the rooms are always updated and redecorated, clean , tidy with everything you need, the food is great value and the English breakfast will keep you going all day long while you relax by the pool or on the private beach only 50m away. It's a great location for kos town, walking is easy, car and bike hire is also available, we are Scuba divers and made the most of the on site dive centre here. Awesome holiday!!!!!!
Where do I start?!
I really don't know where to start with my review of this hotel. I have never had an experience like it. I've never been touched by such hospitability, kindness & friendliness. I had the BEST holiday of my life, made only better by the Hotel. Clean, modern, English speaking staff. It was the perfect location for a holiday. Close to the town, bus over the road for those who don't want the brisk walk to the town. Great food in the hotel, or a short walk to Tavernas over the road. I have already spoken to friends about returning again next year. I have never reviewed a hotel on the web before, but I felt obliged to with Hotel Niriides. I can't wait to go for the World Cup next year! Chris
Great stay at the Niridiides Beach Hotel
We had previously stayed at the Niriides Beach Hotel in 2008 and were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the helpfulness of the management. We opted for another 2 weeks this year and were not not dissapointed. The rooms have been updated with newly glazed windows, the staff welcomed us like family. The poolside had been changed to give a shaded area for those who found the sun too much. We had some of our evening meals in the hotel which were very good value for money considering some of the meals you can get in other hotels. The reception staff of Natalie, Joanna and the night porter were always polite and very helpful nothing was too much trouble. The poolside snack bar is run by Kiros who is a very cheery and helpful guy again nothing was too much much trouble and he makes a mean greek salad and omellette. The management team of Emerald and Stavros go out of their way to ensure you have a relaxing and pleasent stay. This is not a five star luxury hotel but if you want five star service and a pleasent and relaxed hotel with a very greek family feel with staff who try to ensure you have the best of stays then this is the place to book.
Arrive as guests depart as friends
Our second visit (first in 2007) the hotel has just had a refurb(nothing wrong before) the rooms have fresh decor,tv.fridge .hair dryer & tea/coffee makeing epquiptment. now even better. What is the extra factor to this hotel is the staff all genuine,& very friendly. We just seen to have a laugh whilst we stayed. I would & have no hesitation in reccomending to anyone. Thanks to all the staff, see you again.
No way 3 Stars
Just arrived back from a 1 week stay in the Niriides Beach Hotel Apartments. The first impression of the hotel reception, lounge and bar area are good. That I am afraid were it all ended. I was given apartment 17 the furthest apartment in the grounds. This we soon found out came with double alarm clocks in the shape of 2 cockerels. No way were my wife and I putting up with them starting at 04.30 hrs every morning. I immediately asked to be moved and was put into a traditional bungalow 21B to the right hand side of the hotel. Traditional in Greece means refurbishment. Also never had a change of bed linen or towels for the whole week, maid came in moped floor and emptied bins only, no cleaning done at all. I cannot comment on the hotel bedrooms but a previous review I read was spot on. We thought the pool area was past its best, with loungers held together with sticks and tape. Never went in the pool it was far too cloudy and had scum marks all around the pool above the water line plus the water exit ports were green. The pool area and pool were never cleaned the whole week we were there. Other guests in apartments and hotel encountered the same as us. When this was brought to the manager’s attention she became aggressive, confrontational and sarcastic. Would I go back, no way? Go to Thomson's little gem the Bahamas stayed there in June for 2 weeks and see the difference in cleanliness and hospitality. Kos itself was great, hire bikes to get around, weather was fantastic. Graham from Lancashire.
No way 3 stars
This is a cheap hotel. our bedroom was small with a tatty shower room. We thought the pool area was past its best ,with loungers held together with sticks and tape.Private beach was a disapointment . Breakfast is limited and left uncovered. Initial charge of 20E for safe deposit box and Aircon was 56E for 2 weeks.(not deposits -charges). Worst for us was our room, 104 which had next doors Aircon unit on the balcony . Everytime it was turned on the balcony became too uncomfortable to use. When this was brought to the managers attention she became aggressive ,confrontational and sarcastic. Kos itself was great , hire bikes to get around , weather was fantastic. See the photos and make your own mind up .
Basic but good location
The hotel itself is average. Before we went people said that its more like a 4star than a 3star hotel - unfortunately we disagree and think its more like a 2star. Apparently some of the rooms have been refurbished but we had a rather grotty, small room. The cups that came with the kettle were not cleaned the full week we were there so had mold growing in them. The maids do come everyday but this is to just drop loo roll off and make the beds - not clean bedding, not clean towels and not to mop the bathroom floor. The shower just has a shower head and nothing to fix it to the wall, no bath mat so the floor was constantly wet. On the flip side, the staff are very friendly - especially Kyros at the pool bar. There are a lot of facilities - pool, kids pool, pool snack bar, crazy golf, private beach, shop. There are a few nice bar restaurants across the road from the hotel, the bus to Kos Town or the Therma tops right outside the hotel and s very cheap. Overall, an ideal base for a Kos holiday but the rooms of the hotel, disappointing.
Lovely family hotel
On June we booked a last minute flight to Kos. We spent a magnificent week with our two children 2 & 6 years old in Hotel Niriides. Was so nice there! The children were so happy to play with the two boys of the family. Our stay there was like to spent our holidays by the parents. They are so friendly, always willing & smilling. The beach in front of the hotel and the swimming pool is the ideal place for relaxing. The food was delicious, typical greek specialities, and every afternoon we went for a walk in Kos Town, which is only 20' on foot, walking in a path. The rooms are full renovated with modern furniture, everything was very clean, everything was so nice but 1 week was very short time. We suggest the hotel to everybody who wants to visit Kos with children.
Very friendly staff.
Stayed at this hotel for the second time in September 2005. It was our fourth trip to Kos, and our second place for accommodation. While the hotel is sited beside a very busy road, the views to Turkey are spectacular. The staff are unbelievably friendly, and all have a smile at every time of the day. The rooms are basic, but clean, which is all that is needed. The hotel is a nice 20 minute walk from the town, and there is a world of choice with all the restuarants and bars on the route in.
Great base for holiday
My friend and i stayed here for two weeks at the end of May beginning of June. The weather was fantastic. The hotel was great base for our holiday. we just sunbathed around the pool all day then at night headed to Kos Town for drinks etc!! taxis only cost about 3 euros!! We got very cheap deal and were not expecting a fantastic hotel but it was fine. the beach over the road wasnt the best but apparently there was a nice one just a bit further up the road. my friend couldnt be bothered going though!! also we got charged to go on the beach so we just ended up sunbathing around the pool. the staff were friendly. there are loads of places to eat on the way and in Kos Town. the snack bar caters for your daytime needs around the pool but there are cafes around the hotel and s hop next door.
