" What a fabulous hotel - 2 stars maybe... "
Submitted By: Ms T LeeWe had a one bedroom apartment which had a double bedroom with air conditioning (Small charge payable locally) a twin bedroom/lounge with proper beds and a small kitchenette area.
The room was large and clean with TV and fridge included (kettle too!!) Lots of hanging space and plenty of hangers provided.
The owners were always on hand and nothing was too much trouble.
The pool area is big enough to cope with the 32 rooms and the Hotel is opposite a shingle coarse sand beach with plenty of sun beds on offer.
There are some fabulous local restaurants and very reasonably priced - try Marias just next door to the Hotel for some of the best Greek food you will ever try – enormous portions and service with a smile.
The local supermarket opposite offers everything you might need including post box and telephones and phone cards.
Kefalos is a sleepy little resort with a beach, harbour, old town, a few shops, bars, and restaurants - overall just perfect.

Submitted By: Mrs C GerrishIt is a super friendly home from home hotel where you are made to feel part of the family.
The rooms are spotlessly clean. Hotel well positioned in the centre of Kefalos which is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday.
Plenty of places to eat and all as good as each other very friendly and greet you as if you are their long lost relative.
Will certainly return and to the Kokalakis good luck to Nitsa with her for coming new arrival and keep cooking those super cakes Poppi.

Submitted By: Mr K WrightThis was our fourth year running to stay at this hotel where the family have continued to make us not just welcome but feel part of the community.
So if you are looking for a holiday with a twist Greek life this is a must, however if you prefer just to relax and do your own thing then there will be no interference.
As mentioned the food is excellent with a special mention for Maria’s where the owner daily fishes and offers the catch on the evening menu.
The resort is laid back with plenty of taverna,s to choose from not a bustling place so not a place for party goers who should look to kardamena further up the coastline.
" We had a wonderful and relaxed... "
Submitted By: camarazThe rooms were spotless and overlooked the pool, although we went in a quieter time of the year and there was not a lot of noise from the area.
The breakfasts were a traditional Greek, jam, toast and juice but an English breakfast was available at about 3 or 4 euros depending on what you required.
The Captains bar across the road deserves a special mention, so polite and the Kleftiko was to die for, can honestly say that we never had a bad meal at anytime nor anywhere else for that matter.
The hotel is directly opposite the beach across a small road. To the right takes you up to the harbour past bars and restaurants and away to the left is like a long road with hotels and shops. Very quiet at time of year, but we preferred that.
We went with another couple and no kids (heaven) Moonlight cruise is a must, party on a secluded beach doing Greek dancing with lots of wine and a bar-b. The Greek people are fantastic. Kokalakis was great...Def going back sometime.
" A very enjoyable friendly atmosphere... "

Nice to get a double bed for once, (for the adults), and for my daughter she had a good sized single bed in a separate area (it could have slept an adult easily). There was everything you needed for self catering facilities, and also a good sized freezer with small freezer compartment. For extra charge you could also have air conditioning in your room, but the television was free.
Hotel
Nice friendly reception area where you can change travelers cheque at excellent rate. The bar has everything in stock and draws in some nice people to chat with, and there is a restaurant area which mainly caters for breakfast, but the tavernas are very close by.
Pool
Two pools, one large pool with a steady floor, and a child’s pool. Both ok water not uncomfortably cold, and quite safe.
Overall we had a pleasant stay and shall be returning next year, the island and resort has everything for us to enjoy a family holiday with great weather.
" We have just returned from a weeks... "
Submitted By: Miss C LangtyThe hotel is very clean and the staff cannot be faulted in any way. The hotel is situated over the road from the beach and is in the middle of the resort. There are always plenty of sun loungers and the pool is never crowded. The resort itself is low key and very relaxing. Plenty of choice of places to eat etc. we had a brilliant time and cannot wait to return for our next trip there.
It is easy to see why people return to this hotel year after year for 25 years running. Thank you to Nitsa the owner for making our holiday so special and her family who help her. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Have a great time.
" Wonderful family welcome awaits you!... "
Submitted By: Mrs V ThompsonThis was our second visit to the hotel Kokalakis and my husband & I cannot wait until September 06 when we return to hotel Kokalakis. Great tours offered by Kosmar or you can just do your own thing, a trip to the wonderful village of Zia is a must & also Marcos bay if you can get there. Also we went to a beach barbecue after watching the sunset by boat organised by Kosmar.
Great laugh and free booze!!!! Lovely trinket shops to browse in along the main street and yet again more lovely places to eat if tired of the beach. Good bus service right outside hotel going to Kos town. Hotel Kokalakis is fantastic for couples to unwind. Everyone is friendly in the resort and I’m sure you will have a totally relaxing holiday.
P.s. Don’t be on a diet when you go as gorgeous cream cakes are just across the street from Kokalakis in general store. Also I would recommend a visit to Harry Lumani's restaurant as he is a fantastic host, just off the beach & also Scallis restaurant for lamb & ribs. Then walk it all off the next day by visiting old Kefalos up in the hills.
" A very quiet and relaxed resort,... "
