Iberostar Regency Beach Hotel Reviews
" Just enjoyed two weeks at this... "
Submitted By: Mrs C Trudgeon
Just enjoyed two weeks at this hotel. It is a very good all inclusive with food available
all day long. The staff work really hard but still find time to have a few friendly words with guests.Bar staff serve generous measures and its not just because they are after
tips either.Activities and evening entertainment is well organised by a very hard working
animation team of four young people. The waiters and dining room staff operate under
the watchful eye of Andreas the service manager and he does run a tight ship.
He is very charming to the Ladies and treats the gentlemen like old friends with a smile
and joke.If you stay at the Iberostar Regency Beach you may find the following tips
of some use.1There are safes in the bedrooms but you will be charged 20 euros per
week to use them.
2.Be prepared to rise early if you wish to reserve a sun lounger with a brolly. We had
to get out at 6.45am to get ours each day and that sun is really hot at the moment.
3.If you want to see some of the Island you will need to hire a car or the local bus
stops by the hotel, bus timetables are available at reception.
4.You will need beach/water shoes as shingle beach is rough on the feet.
We had a great time and would use this hotel again.

" This was simply the best hotel I have... "
Submitted By: Mrs S Stolton
This was simply the best hotel I have ever been to.
The rooms, and indeed the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. So the furniture might not be bang up to date but its functional and anyone moaning about it should look round there own homes. Unless they go to Ikea every year and re modernize they'll have older stuff too!
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, they couldn't do enough for their guests, whatever time of day or night. No exceptions. (Indeed every evening the restaurant manager mucked in with the rest of his staff, setting tables, waiting on guests, and still found a smile and greeting for other guests).
The location was breathtaking. We’d read on other forums about the wasps but don’t let them bother you they aren’t in the least threatening. They were not aggressive and no one got stung at all the week we were there.
My partner is in pest control and like he pointed out the hotel couldn’t have done anything about them unless they burned all the trees and shrubs that surrounded the hotel which wouldn’t be an option!
All in all 10 out of 10. Would recommend it to everyone.

" We arrived at the beginning of the... "

We arrived at the beginning of the season and we were pleasantly impressed with the hotel and surrounding area, the beginning of May is a very quiet period for Corfu but quickly starts to fill up by the end of the first week
The hotel itself is very convenient for families, free food and free alcohol, what more could you ask for, every night there was entertainment for both the adults and kids whereas I found it a perfect opportunity for parents to let off steam with countless amounts of alcohol whilst their kids ran riot, I found the hotel hardly ideal for young couples but more than satisfactory for families
You defiantly need a car otherwise you will go mad, the roads are not ideal to walk on whilst the hotel only offers basic facilities to keep yourself amused, the main attributes of this hotel is the "food", the snacks is very basic with bland sandwiches and sausage rolls with reheated pizza, the diversity of food for the main meals is surprisingly good and I could not fault the service either!
The rooms are not what you would expect from a 4* +, they are very basic with woodchip wallpaper and white paint whilst the furniture looks as if it has been repainted to colour co ordinate, I found the smell of sewage very disconcerting whenever I walked out of the room into the main.
Don’t be fooled by the all inclusive part of the holiday as everybody is all inclusive meaning rat races for the 3 main meals and snacks whilst the alcohol is not branded and you have to pay for the premium beer
It cost us £600 for 2 of us to stay there which is very cheap imo [including flights], I can’t really moan cos we got more than what we paid for but I find the hotel more a 3* than 4*+

Great value for food and accommodation If you can eat and drink better, let me know! Slightly remote site but not so much bustle or noise.
Can bus or taxi to other towns. Recommend boat trip to mainland, all day, 20 euros.

A perfect setting for a wonderful holiday, rooms very small but the location was perfect our 25th anniversary in the Shirley Valentine hotel was everything we wished for.
The beach was on the doorstep and the salt-water pool was ideal for just floating.

The actual year we were in this hotel was 2002 but we have been back to this wonderful island every year ever since, we are going back again in September staying in the Rochari studios in the same resort so we hope all will be well.
Hotel not good at
all we were put in apartments half a mile away ( but apartments nice
and very clean) but the walk to them you passed sewage vents and
smell was disgusting ! Good job it did not rain or we would have got
soaked going for meals. Very quiet area 1 shop other than hotel one. When
eating in restaurant if you sat by the French door the whiff of
sewage was dreadful. not much beach very small hotel pools were high
up above hotel you had to go to the roof top of hotel and then
another trek up hill.
food was average . . There were many people who were ill with
sickness and the runs and one evening when sat in reception saw 4
people took to the medical centre with the doctor and one lady taken
by ambulance. Hotel did put up notices to say it was a viral
infection but who knows if this is correct.
Where they did the entertainment which was c**p it was so full of
smoke you could not see through it. also gave you your drinks in
plastic cups !
I would not recommend this hotel to any one. it was supposed to be a
4* AI I would not say it was.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were made up of several choices and there was no restriction on how much you ate. It is self service which offered you the chance to try a little of something you may not have had before.
The only gripe I have is the attitued of the guy who appeared to be incharge of the dining hall, he was a bit of a grumpy so and so and had forgotten how to smile. He gave me the third degree over a packed lunch.
If you are British and like your tea or coffee then you would do aswell to take your favorite brand with you as their tea and coffee was.......not to my taste.
There was plenty to do within the complex and the underground access from the hotel to the beach was a real blessing. The beach is stoney so it's worth getting a pair of Neoprene shoes (here they cost about £5 but in the hotel shop they were 7 Euros, about £8.50) The water was warm so we spent many hours swimming, snorkelling and messing around in the water. The fish seemed to have caught on to the holiday makers feeding them with left over bread from lunch, so there are plenty to see and swim with.
There was talk of dolphins in the bay and sure enough on the Tuesday they swam across the bay (4 in total) the two lead Dolphins obliged the crowed with a cross over jump which was really spectacular.
All in all, the £1200 we spent in total on the holiday was money well spent.
Advice: The roads are dangerous so avoid walking anywhere
Activities: Dolphins in the bay and the fish that swim in huge sholes close to the shore.
Good for: Beach
