We spent there 'all inclusive' week in early May 2009. For sea enthusiasts the hotel has a good location right at a long stretch of sandy beach, which is fairly private (but not separated from the adjacent public beach). Beach is of fine sand and sloping mildly (you need to... more

My boyfriend and I went to Arina Sand Hotel in May 2007; it was my best ever holiday! Staff friendly and helpful, the animation team were very friendly and had a really good laugh with you, asked you to play games every day but wasn’t annoying, if you didn’t want too... more

When we arrived at Arina Sands at 5.30am we was put in the bungalows which were nowhere near the hotel. The bungalows were very basic like four walls and a door. After complaining we was put in the hotel. Which was a bit better but no air-conditioning. Food was poor. Kids... more

super
we've been there 12 days and have a very good impression. very good animation!!! nice food, perfect location: very close to the airport (up to 10 min by bus), the hotel itself is located very close to the sand beach
"good Holiday"
Overall nice hotel great location on its private sandy beach, hotel staff are all vaery friendly and helpful. We travelled with 2 teenages and grandparents, our children were well entertained beach volley ball, waterpolo etc. I would say the only downside of this hotel is the rooms could do with updating and are rather small for 4 people. The sea could be quite rough at times which could be a problem for young children. We all found the food very nice ,there was enough choice for everyone and it was always served hot.
great all round holiday and hotel
We have just returned last night from this true all inclusive beach hotel and we had a great time with excellent weather and nice sea breezes! Ok it might not be near the centre of a large busy resort, but thats why we went there. We wanted good facilities and high standards of cleanliness not just in the rooms but also in all communal areas in the hotel - pool, restaurant, bars etc and the Aquis Aranis Sands did not let itself down nor its guests! The hotel has large grounds stretching 300plus metres along it's own private beach which was very sandy, safe for all and had lifeguard service too. When we were there the waves were strong in the afternoons which made it perfect for teenagers - just like Cornwall! The staff are brilliant especially Panayiotis who effieciently and pleasantly runs the restaurants (and there are three if you include the beach bar/taverna) well and are always clean and well stocked with good quality food and plenty of choice daily. In all honesty the Animation team were also very keen and gave the teenage boys a run for there money with football, volley ball, table tennis etc and they also performed most nights with real enthusiam especially Jacamo - who is a walking can of red bull! So if you are looking for beach chill (including massage service with Judy) together with good food, drinks till past midnight and plenty of daily events to amuse the family then look no further!!! Ps we also went to the Aqua Park 4 kms away and this was brilliant too - for kids of all ages!!!!!!
Great food, pool, entertainment and service with a smile
We booked a vacation at Arina Sand with InViaggi tours: they were very organized, facilitated our travel to the hotel and back to the airport, organized our excursions, and provided car rental service, so we didn't have to worry about a thing! The activities at the hotel were great. The team involved all guests. The evening shows were a little boring at times especially for the guests that did not speak Italian. Dancing nights were more fun for everyone! Food: great (really all inclusive), rooms: need renovation, the air con does not always work, and the carpeting: smelly/ seemed dirty. The hotel spaces-lobby, pool and terraces are really nice (except for the Ping pong room, no air con). The location was convenient because it was near the airport, but the beaches in the area were not clean and not ideal for Crete. We rented a car and went to nicer beaches. All in all a great hotel and value, though.
Wonderful Holiday
I would like to thank to all the animators for a wonderful experiances and animation.. it was full of fun and professionality..Special thank to Amanda, she is not only bellissima but very good dancer, also to Giacomo, our fantastic dance teacher and close soul.. and also to the others who made our stay so comfortable.. The hotel and the stuff were great and very cute. And the best think in this hotel is the magic sea there.. Thank you again and hope to see you again.. Kisses Gabriela from Prague
Great holiday
Fantastic holiday, great location, nice hotel and stuff, nice swimming pool, very nice entertainments, wide range of great food, nice bar Overall recommended
Great vacation
We spent amazing 11 days (jun 21/2010 - jul 2/2010). Very nice place. Because of very smart configuration almost all the rooms and bungalows are sea view. Very friendly staff. Good restaurant, bars and sand beach. And one more thing. I enjoyed all the animation program first in my life. Guys was really cool. They did their best for adults and children as well. A lot of sports, really interesting and funny night shows, games, special program for small children, professional and not importunate. Highly recommended. Not all of the turkish and egyption 5* could be compared with this 4*.
Great location - excellent staff whose energy and warmth made our holiday!
We stayed here for the second time this year, having thoroughly enjoyed our time there last year. The stay was all inclusive and even included a range of cocktails to sample. The food was very good, suiting my husband who likes his meat and veg. and myself who loves a range of salads and desserts. The restaurant duty manager Mr Panayiotis Kozacos was excellent, managing a very hardworking, friendly staff highly efficiently and always greeting guests and ensuring they were happy with the meals and services. Bar staff especially Katerina and Zag were really excellent. We also must recommend the Animations team led by Alberto and especially Giacomo who is superb and a real star succeeded inreally making our stay such fun. They all worked long hours but never flagged and were exceptionally good at all the varied activities they ran.
Great vacation
We've stayed for 9 nights and loved it. The food is good and the staff are fantastic. The animation team is friendly and gives a quality show every evening. The restaurant staff and bar tenders are so sweet and welcoming. You get very attached to those people and we had a hard time leaving. Rooms are clean, only bad thing to say is that there are no double beds (need to push them together) and that the matrasses are from poor quality.
With best regards from Ukraine, Kiev.
We spent marvelous 11 days in “AQUIS ARINA SAND” in Crete. We arrived 18 May and were surprised by hospitality of the hotel staff. They did everything to make us feel “Greece has everything” and that it’s really true. The sea was about 23°C and we can concede spending more time in the water that on the sand beach. The food was amazing so tasty fresh and various! We could enjoy every minute trying Greek chefs-d’oeuvre. In addition to all this great pleasure this hotel employed, as for us, the best international animation team in the world! Tireless guys made us busy all the time by playing different sports, doing water gym, stretching, step aerobics, dance lessons and of course night shows-that is something incredible! Plus after the show every evening we had disco-big thanks for their boss Alberto! Amanda, Jacomino, Oldis (Mario), Davide, Kristine – you are the best!!! Go there and you won’t feel sorry for visiting such a beautiful place in Greece! With best regards from Ukraine, Kiev. 18 – 28 May 2010.
