Royal Belvedere

The holiday was brilliant, the hotel was very clean, the entertainment was also good.
The only thing I would fault the hotel on would be the food that they served,
The holiday was overall brilliant, nice people nice place.
The locals were very nice compared to the people in most countries were they try to drag you into bars and shops but that didn’t happen over in Crete.
I would recommend this place to anyone at any age.

This hotel was meant to be a 4 star hotel and I would give it a 1 star hotel, the front of the hotel and the reception area is posh but when you get in the room you will be very disappointed when we booked this holiday we were told that we would have air conditioning, a TV, and a fridge instead we got no TV no fridge no air con but we got a fan what did not work, and a bed what was on the floor nearly, the lifts broke down every time you got in them, the staff was rude to English people, the hotel was full of Germans the first night we got there two of the lads who were with us were robbed by the taxi drivers the food was awful no English food at all so any one going to this hotel be warned I would rate this hotel a 1 out of 100 I will never be going to Crete again!

I recently went on holiday to the Royal Belvedere in Hersonissos and totally disagree with the comments of Mrs K Deering, posted here already. Yes this hotel is visited by a lot of German holidaymakers. However, for me this makes a pleasant change from going on holiday and been plagued by English idiots, especially when there is a major football tournament on.
As for the hotel, the staff were very pleasant and were always willing to go out of their way to help. The animation team were excellent and catered for all age groups. The animation team also spoke in 4 different languages to accommodate holidaymakers from all over Europe. All inclusive allowed us to drink wines, brandy, ouzo, raki, soft drinks and tea/coffee.
Food was available all day long, the restaurant provided plenty of choice and was a very pleasant area for eating in.
Also in the hotel was a well stocked shop, saving guests commuting to the nearest shop for supplies.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and unlike K Deering's comments having German / French holidaymakers makes a pleasant change from the usual idiotic English tourists.
