Family & Friends - including grandchildren. 10 of us have just returned from one of the best holidays ever.
We stayed in the Gardens and Reception managed to get us 4 rooms near each other even though it was peak season. The rooms were bright, roomy had decent size balconies and air-con was free!!
Lots of reasonably priced package options available and highly recommend trying at least half-board, the restaurant is one of the very best we have known. Lots of food choics including vegeterian and even a dedicated childrens section with nuggets, burgers, fish fingers, pizza and pasta. But more important was the quality - it was superb!!
Very family orientated, kids loved the pirate pool and other childrens facilities, the adults loved the adults-only pool. As it was peak season obviously ultra busy and we found the pool in the gardens was much quieter and relaxing so did use that on a number of occasions.
Or you can have activities galore if you want them though in the main complex.
Would highly recommend.
- Advice: Recommend trying upgrade option to half-board at least as restaurant so worth it. Ask for Garden accommodation for more peaceful environment.

Just spent a week with my family, kids 11 and 12 at the atlantica and feel it was mis-sold. We were all inclusive, which is always the preference with kids and I was hugely disappointed with the food quality, it was tedious to say the least, and of very poor quality. My kids are by no means fussy and eat a wide range of food, but this was dampened down good old brit food with little imagination. Deep fried bread, broiled streaky bacon, chips, congealed pastas, come on guys. We ended up as a family eating out three of our six nights at local Greek restaurants, enjoying Mezes etc.
Dont even get me started on the so called family friendly hotel.
Positives; the room was lovely, immaculate as was the hotel, and Maria the lady who cleaned was a gem.Not all staff were as helpfull
- Advice: This does not cater for children over 7

Positives: Lovely pool, very clean room, large comfortable bed, good selection of food, restaurant staff helpful and friendly and a good Hotel to go to if you just want to stay at the Hotel around the pool.
Negatives:It is a 3 star Hotel because you have to pay extra for a comfort package with everything that is usually included in a 4 star Hotel. Picked this Hotel from a choice of 3 because it advertised archery and table tennis but unfortunately these activities had been dropped, the entertainment staff (with the exception of an Australian lady Karenina who tried so hard) were only interested in the water volley ball and water aerobics (which was of no interest to us).Disappointed there was no Greek entertainment everything was 'English' it was a bit like a Spainish Hotel, but this just personal preference. Beware it is in a city! so no nice scenery although we were lucky to have a nice room over looking the pool.
Did we have a good time: Yes
Would we go back again: No
If you have already booked this holiday don't worry it is not a bad Hotel by any means just not what was expected.
- Advice: Nice if you like to stay in the Hotel for a restful break

We spent 2 weeks all inclusive at the Atlantica Oasis Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus. We travelled with our 2 kids aged 5 and 7. The Hotel was great...excellent food and a very clean complex with a great pool. The only slight criticism is that men have to wear trousers in the dining room for evening dinner but that is just their stipulation. In addition to that you seem to have to wait a while for drinks in the restaurant but other than that the service and staff are very good. The food is really varied and a really high standard and includes a 'carvery corner' with excellent selection of roasts each night. Unfortunately there is no real beach to speak of...it is tiny and has very dark sand which looks muddy. Also drinks at the beach are expensive...3 soft drinks and a beer cost 20 euros. If you hire a car go to Lady's Mile beach...it is fantastic and only a couple of feet deep as far out as 300 metres making it great for youg kids. We also went to the local water park which was out of this world and well worth the 74 euros for the 4 of us. We also did the all inclusive catamaran trip which was ok but it is a long day for the kids who can get bored once the novelty of sailing has worn off after an hour or so. Overall it is a great hotel, but the resort is limited once you come off the complex. That said you can happily spend all your time at the hotel due to the great pool and high standards.

I have been in this hotel and I do not recommend it...
First of all the location is horrible, night and day, many cars, noisy, dirty, bad small walking around... you cannot be relaxed because you are always afraid that a car pass near you with a crazy driver... the drivers do not respect, at all, the road code. the pedestrians have to avoid holes, broken paves, car badly parked, garbage,...
Cyprus in July and August is too much humid and hot... so I do not recommend to visit this country during full summer... instead you do not like sauna and/or hammam 24h.
The hotel is 4 stars rated just for the nice looking swimming pools but as there are many guests they are dirty. The hotel is too much far from the beach and when you arrive there, you will find a dirty small beach... but the sea is clean, for a nicer beach you have to go farer. The restaurants and pubs around do not look very clean but I was with AI so I was not interested in... so, the city is horrible
The room was somehow clean, but some people reported that the room was not cleaned for 3-4 days... The bed was uncomfortable and short... (it may be a problem if you are taller than 1,75).
Food, well, I am impressed of some positive reviews that I saw on the site... thinking what people eat and like... My opinion is that there is a large offer, but mostly (around 80%) of dishes are not well prepared or with good ingredients (I prefer to use an euphemism in case of food). i.e. orange juice? an aspirin is nicer; pancakes? dry as crackers; croissants? stones; pasta, lasagna, cannelloni, an offense to Italian cuisine; meat? if you like black meat... (exception: the meat that is cut upon request was good)
Good: fruits, vegetables, most of desserts and some local dishes
The drinks: well, I didn't take many, but when asking an Ice-Tea I received a cup of (hot) tea with ice inside... After that, I was a bit afraid to ask something different than water...

I have just got back from my holiday, and I would write a review but feel I must, its not fair, and I feel I must warn people!
Me and my partner book our holidays through First Choice every year, and have never had a issue with the 4 star rating given by them! This year due to the fact that we like to eat out, and never get up for breakfast we thought we would try self catering! Getting a good appartment was a must for us, so we started looking, and found that the Atlantica Oasis a 4 star hotel did it, after viewing the photos on the net, we thought that the hotel looked very nice, and thought that the appartments on offer would reflect the hotel, how wrong were we!!!
When we got there we got taken to the hotel across the road from the main hotel, they call this the 'Gardens' as we walked in you got the feeling that this was a dated hotel, and was brought out by the Oasis hotel, they gave us a free breakfast for the week at the main hotel, I thought this was odd, never the less we went to see our room, and as we walked in the disapointment was hard to hide, it was not nice, the carpet was tatty/dirty needed a good clean, the room had 3 beds in, no living area, no dining area, a bathroom, and the bath needed a good clean, and the beds had old covers on, you didnt want to sleep in them, the kitchen was in the walk way from the bedroom to the bathroom and was kind of in the wardrobe space once upon a time very small, you couldnt call it a kitchen really! I was not happy, to think we had paid for 4 star and got this! We had had a long day so we stopped that night, hoping that in the morning we could sort it out and move across to the main hotel! We understood now why they had given us this free breakfast, to make up for what we are staying in....and we always miss breakfast, the whole point of self catering!!
The next morning we went to the main hotel to complain, but they didnt care, they didnt want to know, so in the end we decided to make the most of it, but we really felt that we had been miss sold this holiday, and ripped off on the price!
The Oasis hotel it self looks nice, and we got up twice for breakfast and that was nice, but to be honest we wouldnt go back again, becuase we met a couple that had booked at the very start of the year, all inclusive, and they had been put in the 'Gardens' so I think its look of the draw, they didnt get moved either!
One good thing was the air con, that worked great, the room was always lovely and cool, and the TV had a movie channel that was English!
On the last day we went to have a shower in a room that you book in 30mins slots, I found a note on the side that read 'Dear Hotel, Thank you, for MUGGING us OFF!!' Well I had to giggle, becuase that just summed it up for me! I will be writing a complaint to First Choice! They need to review how the market this, because I feel ripped off, I feel that they have miss sold this holiday, what we could of got for the money that we paid, isnt worth thinking about! We wouldnt of minded if it had of been a last min deal, and it was cheap!!

I returned yesterday from a week at this hotel. I went with my partner, my daughter, her partner and their 3 month old baby. This hotel is spotless and staff can be seen from morning till night cleaning all area's of the complex. Our room had clearly been refurbished recently and the 'new smell' is still there. The rooms were definitely 4 star, a huge double bed, wide range of English speaking TV channels, air con and a fantastic shower. The bathroom was lovely. All in all I was very pleasantly surprised at the standard of the rooms.
Whilst the restaurant is huge the quality, choice and standard of the food that comes from the kitchens is amazing. We never had any problems obtaining a table and the food is constantly being checked by staff to make sure that it is replenished when necessary and all spills are cleared up. As a consequence you never feel as if you have arrived after the locusts have descended. A constant flow of bottled water, soft drinks, ice-creams and, later in the afternoon, cocktails is available.
The daytime entertainment is a bit like Butlins in the 70's but you don't have to take part, you can leave the competitive dads to the pool volley ball and there is plenty of space left for those that just want to splash around. For those going with out little ones there is an Adults only pool which is very civilised. We didn't try the evening entertainment but got the impression that Hi Di Hi would not have been out of place. The kids probably loved it.
Only one fault, the Health Club would not be out of place in an episode of Rising Damp (for those of you old enough to remember). If the Gym is high on your list you may be dissapointed unless you want to share two treadmills, two recumbent bikes and two cross trainers with the rest of those foolish enough to want to offset the huge choice of food that will be consumed. The Health Club is a massive overstatement, but few venture to this part of the complex. I'm afraid I never found a hairdresser but it looked like one was about to be installed shortly.
Black sand is not my cup of tea so after one brief visit to the small beach nearby we did not venture from the hotel on this trip.
We were at the hotel for 6 days before we managed to spend a single Euro and only then because we went off site to have a meal with friends.
- Advice: This resort is great if you want a pool based holiday with very little to spend your money on.
- Activities: None taken on this holiday, preferring to stay by the pool

Hey All
finally have the time to let you all know how the big day went!
We stayed at the Apartment block of the Atlantica Oasis in Limassol and had heard previous reports about it so were a bit skeptical with regard to location and decor. I have to say it was FANTASTIC! There were 3 main pools, which were great for everyone. The decor was not as bad as made out to be and was in fact quite in keeping with many of the Hotels in the resort. It was plain and basic but extremely clean!
We got married on 19th June and I organised everything myself from licence to flowers!
Had the most amazing day of our lives, the staff in the Hotel made our day even more magical!
They were so kind and considerate and the meals are still being talked about now as they were soo delicious!
I would definately recommend a visit to this Hotel/Apartment and would definately recommend a wedding in Limassol!
I am currently running my own business from Northern Ireland organising weddings in Cyprus so please feel free to ask me any questions. My website is under contruction at the moment and as soon as it is completed I will post a link and hopefully I will be able to help out!

We were allocated an apartment on booking as my eldest daughter is 13 and classed as an adult, but what a stroke of luck! We had two adjoining rooms with two balconies, two TVs and a kitchenette, bit dated but clean, and maid service was great.
The apartments have their own pool a short walk through the gardens, which was quiet and sunbeds seemed to be available all morning, as well as a bar with a pool table and TV, lovely for a quiet drink, as the entertainment wasn't up to much at the main hotel.
Being half board, we had to walk across two roads and through a lovely but at night unlit pathway to get to the main hotel for meals, but the food was fantastic, the Cypriot desserts a must, wear something loose ladies!
The pool and other facilities at the main hotel were crowded and noisy, and I heard from other guests the rooms were not 4*.
We took the shuttle bus to the Fassouri Waterpark, which was great but the bus was awful and I would recommend doing the excursion or taking a taxi, (not much more expensive!)
Wanted to do the Famagusta and Turkish border trip, but I was told the two trips planned had Russian tour guides only!
Ventured to the beach but its dark sand and a bit of a trek, but on the way back the golden arches of McD's kept the kids going!
The staff were helpful but not overly friendly as in other parts of Cyprus, wouldn't recommend Limassol or the Hotel, but the Appartments were great :)

The main reception area has been refurbished but the room we stayed in was awful. There was no hot water pressure for the shower and no hot water in a morning. The bath/shower taps were filthy and covered in thick lime scale. The toilet flush handle was also filthy and covered in thick lime scale. The bathroom floor was dirty with thick black dirt in the corners. We were lucky to have our room serviced at all - and then only got two towels - one hand and one bath - for two people.
At one point we had to buy our own toilet rolls.
The room was not at all clean and really needed refurbishing. Hotel reception staff were not interested and simply said our complaints would be passed to the House Keeper.
Parts of the poolside area would be cleaned with detergent by staff in the evening but we were alarmed the see the whole lot simply rinsed away into the pool.
All I can say is - if you are thinking of staying at this hotel - DONT

What can i say i have been to this Hotel 9 times out of the last 10 years and absolutely love it. Having started to go in February 1997 we have slowly moved to going in early May which i find better as more business,s are open and the weather certainly gets better.
The Hotel itself is always friendly and very clean in particular Nicos the Bar Manager is a credit to the Hotel and has become a very good friend over the years. The £7cyp all inclusive option for drinks only is a bargain and one you should consider. After pestering Nicos to add Fosters in the bar it was installed while we were there. Also they are going to have extra cold put in within a Month. Both the indoor and Outdoor pools are very clean and sunbeds are easily obtained. You also have an option of lying in the garden area near the indoor pool.
We went self catering for the first time and found the freedom of eating when we want much better but having been Half Board on all of the other occasions i can also say the food is basic but fine should you take this option. The Atlantica is very flexible and you change your Board option almost daily to suit your needs. Limassol as a resort may not be the most plush but they have improved the beaches and roads alot over the years and is central to anyone who wishes to drive around the island as it is only 70 miles to either end of the island. Sadly a few years ago the Government changed the law and most bars now have to close at 2am but to be honest that did not inhibit us too much. Local bars inclde the Nags Head, Happy Jacks, Shakespeares, Jimmy,s and Fawlty Towers all offer a friendly welcome. Just down the road is the Cantone Restaurant which like most places offer a set menu from only £5.50cyp and is recommended.
We are already looking to book again next year and i cannot recommend the Hotel enough as although it has a 3 star rating it should be at least a 4 star but long may it stay at a 3 star and the prices to match. Enjoy yourself as i know you will. Update:- we have left going for a couple of years due to a major refurbishment going on which now my friend who recently (2007) went over tells me is finished and is even better now so we will now continue our love affair with the hotel
