Arrived at the Hotel late evening and was checked in quickly and was very surprised to learn that a meal had been reserved for us.
This hotel was very nice and clean, with pleasant and helpful staff, even the cleaners were very nice and in general the Hotel was always being cleaned.
The pool was always clean and a very nice life guard was always present, with children, this was very comforting. The Animation Team especially(Eva) was very enthusiastic, funny and always trying to involve the children in activites ie dancing, games, water polo.
The Restaurant was fantastic with a great variety of foods available even for the fussy eaters, and seeing food being cooked such as chicken, steaks, salmon, fish etc was very inviting and also delicious. The Restaurant staff (Austin) was always happy and obliging and made you feel very welcome, with excellent service.
The room, which included a small fridge was adequate, nice and clean with clean towels provided.
The Hotel was in walking distance to the nightlife, which included various bars with tribute bands etc and very suitable for families. Local shops and the market on a Sunday and Wednesday was just around the corner. The Aqua park was fantastic and cost 63 euros for 2 adults and 1 child and only 6 euros in a taxi, so well worth it.
We would definately return to this Hotel and recommend it to our friends!

went 9th june 2010 for 10 days with jet2.The hotel was clean and the reception staff were always helpful. The bedrooms were cleaned every day with fresh clean towels. The dining room was clean and the staff in the dining room were kept busy clearing the tables and preparing for the next diners. The food was varied and catered for everyones tastes, including a varied salad range. The food was always hot and well cooked. The breakfast were really good, egg, bacon, tomato, sausage, beans, fried bread, also a variety of cereals.Overall the food was excellant. The only let down was the entertainment which was pretty basic, but dont let that many caberet bars close by.If any of you like your bingo then go to J Js opposite the Ambassordor Playa. The bigo book are 2 euros each and the first game is free for about 30 to 50 euros. The main games payed around 10 euros for a line and 30 to 50 euros for the house.Bingo starts at 3pm till around 6pm

We were moved to this hotel by Thomsons after the volcanic eruption in Iceland, and we could honestly say it was a pleasure. On arrival the reception room was clean and pleasent. Our room was spacious and spotless. In the restaurant there was a wide range of food catering for all tastes and the bar serves a wide range of drinks and snacks at resonable prices . The pool area is clean and spacious with plenty of sunbeds pool tables an entertainment area and a childrens play area. Although this wasnt our choice of holiday accomadation we would gladly return and would highly recommend this hotel to anybody travelling to Benidorm.

The Hotel Venus is in an excellent location, it’s a short walk from the beach, shops and weekly market. It's located in a quiet road yet only about two streets away from the main nightlife strip, although so close we were never kept awake at night.
There are plenty of beds around the pool (though we were not their peak season). There was music played around the pool and an afternoon game of bingo if you wanted to join in but thankfully no pushy reps pressurizing you into joining in any pool games.
The restaurant was Second to None, it was clean the staff worked hard clearing your dishes away between courses and the choice and quality of the food excellent.
I am hoping to return there this summer.

The Venus has recently been refurbished and can honestly say some of the improvements are worth mentioning.
The dining area is vastly improved from last year but food is still hit and miss. The outside terrace area has been overhauled and now you can get bar service outside, the dracma bar has been enclosed and given a contemporary feel.
The room we stayed in was quite small and on the roadside which made it quite noisy until the early hours has it been a main thoroughfare.

I have been to Benidorm 10+ times over the last 20 years and this one was by far the best time, simply because the hotel was excellent.
There's a lot of the big hotels in Benidorm that are clean and the staff is friendly but they always have a complaint about food, well where can I start.
The food here was fantastic. I counted 14 different fish types while I was there and 3 different meats every night as well as the a different regional cuisine dish.
Honestly it was like dining at a 5 star restaurant every night.
The pool area is great plenty of beds for everyone in a really good sun trap. The destination is also good in an ideal location for everything.
When I go back to Benidorm I will definitely be going back to the Venus.

Me and a friend have just returned from the Venus Hotel and must say we were not as impressed as many people were. We had a single room each, one of us on the 3rd and the other on the 5th floor, after making a point of asking to be on the same floor at least. Our advice, do not on any account have a single room at this hotel. When booking our holiday we specifically asked for a large room whereby a supplement is usually paid, due to occupying a room that could be used for two people, however, we were given a single room only big enough for one person and also were charged a supplement, cant work out why.
The room was only big enough for a single bed, no room to put a fridge, and the bathroom so near to the balcony it was impossible to have the door to the balcony open or the curtains drawn back, not a bit private, too many other balconies from other hotels overlooking plus we were overlooking the road at the back of the hotel where the noise was horrendous till about 6am in the morning.
Must say the food was excellent and the overall look of the hotel was pleasant, pity they don't spend more money on improving the rooms. We are both 68 and 70 years of age, been on a lot of holidays and must say room wise this was the worst we have had to suffer, most unpleasant. Can you believe in such a large hotel they only have eight squatty rooms, one on each floor.

The hotel interior had a very cool relaxing atmosphere, and our room was comfortable with a television and air conditioning.
The exterior of the hotel was clean and modern. The buffet styled food was varied and had dishes to suit everyone, including a Sunday roast! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was conveniently placed as the promenade and shopping area was less than five minutes walk away, however it was rather loud at night with noise from other hotels and traffic.
I found that one of the few down points of the hotel was the lack of entertainment. The only evening entertainment was for children and that consisted of a few well known songs and an appearance from Spiderman. As I was travelling with my Grandmother it would have been much better if there was maybe a children/families show outside and a singer or band at the bar for older people or couples.
Other than that, the hotel was brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone.

We found the hotel Venus to be very well situated. Only downside being, our side of the hotel overlooked a road and had the usual noise from traffic and revellers in transit on a night- but don't all hotels in Benidorm?
The hotel was spotlessly clean with towel changes every day and the food was good, varied and very well presented.
All-in-all this is a very, very good 3 star hotel. Will certainly return in the not too distant future.

This is a very clean hotel, rooms and bathrooms very small, but we only used the rooms to sleep and get changed in, food was as expected, lots of choice, self service buffet style, waiter service for drinks at lunch and dinner time and you pay on leaving the restraunt, self service tea, coffee, juice at breakfast.could do with more lifts as these tend to get quite busy at meal times, we just used the stairs, plenty of sunbeds around the pool although we did get out early in the morning to put our towels on them to get the place by the pool we required so we could watch the kids in the shallow end,Entertainment in the hotel is very spanish orientated, and all the spanish stay in the hotel every night to watch, which to be honest wasnt that great, going out of a night to bars with english entertainment suits us best, bars are really close by with loads of tribute acts on, and shops are very close and the beach is about 5 mins walk. The outdoor market is about 2 mins away and is a great place to visit but be sure to bargain them down. All in all we had a fab holiday and I would and hope to go back to this hotel as it is in a perfect location. :)
