Paphiessa Hotel Reviews
" Paradise which attracts strange guests "
Submitted By: brexeihioniseiDon't pay any attention to the bad reviews. Due to the CHEAP rates this hotel gives to the tour operators it attracts CHEAP guests so they only want to make money out of it. Internet is the latest form of threat.
So please close your ears and visit this PARADISE.

Submitted By: soutzoukakiaWould definately go back there again has you are close to all the bars and restaurants this was a warm and friendly hotel and enjoyed our stay. Down side not enough sunbeds unless you get up early to get towels on beds but preferred to go the the beachs instead which are just a walk away. Great to have the 9 litre water cooler in the room and would recommend purchasing one on arrival. Overall would recommend the self catering accomadations but did not see the hotel accomadations so can make no comment
" Heaven on earth "
Submitted By: solomonhotel fab, really clean when we arrived and good service at the desk when we arrived. We had paid for a side sea view and were pleased with the result. would have been a little better on a higher floor but still an excellent view! breakfast pretty standard, cereals, toast, jams, cheese along with teh cooked which i didnt sample much!
paphiessa is lovely and just a little quieter and smaller than kato paphos and is very pleasant for meals and drinks out. Very easy and pleasant to reach the seafrond along the boardwalk alongside the sea, very enjoyable half an hour walk for tea and drinks!
water park definately worth a visit and the beach which is less than a 5 minute walk from the room is also a very nice way to spend the day. As said below, judging by the comments on the transfer home, definately one of the best hotels in the area!

" Ugly, depressing, rude "
Submitted By: Simon_09The rooms are damp and dated and it is totally depressing and ugly, and we had back ache from the hard beds.
The communal area is just as vile, and the bar full of rude idiots.
We had no hot water for days, and the owner din't seem to care in the slightest
Shoddy location - miles away from anything
Advice: Sweet little haven - but try a different hotel
Activities: jeep safari mountains

" Think before you write a review! "
Submitted By:We went half board so we woke up the next morning for breakfast which again SHOCK HORROR is very nice, there is a wide choice eggs;scrambled, fried or they had omellete and they did boiled eggs every day , sausages, bacon, beans, toast white or brown, jams, wide choice of cereal, tea, coffee, fruit juice;apple or orange. We then checked out the pool (we had read pool was totally in shade on reviews) am pleased to report its not but obviously the sun moves during the day so although the pool is in sun all day but the loungers to the right of the pool get the most sun in the morning then ones to left of pool get the most sun in the afternoon, but there was alot of people that liked being in the shade anyway to have a break from the sun as it is so hot so it wasnt a problem. There is a pool bar we only ate there once as we were usually so full from breakfast and previous evenings meal that we didnt need a full lunch everyday, was very nice we had cheeseburger and chips . The food in the evening was just as nice as breakfast they put the menu up everyday in the morning for you so you know what your having and they give you plenty of choice, fish, lamb, turkey, beef, pork, veg;meat and fish melted in your mouth, also differen vegetarian dish every night (good for veggies), a good few different types of lovely fresh salads and sauces, everynight about 3 different types of dessert, choc gateau, apple pie, cheescakes. We never normally eat dessert at home but we did here it was so yummy. We didnt eat out once we ate every night in the hotel which says alot, we didnt actually meet anyone there who had any complaints with the food. The waiting on and bar and pool staff are really friendly and always said hello, they come and clear your plates and see if you want to order any drinks, im totally baffled to read someone say the staff were asian as they werent we talked to them all and they were either romanian or cypriots, anyway like i said all the staff were very friendly. Our bedding was made everyday and we got clean towels every 3 days. The only one thing is that yes the air con is very tempermental it worked fine first couple of nights and we even woke up freezing and had to turn it off it was that good but sometimes on other nights we couldnt get it anywhere near as cold, there didnt seem to be any method too it, but we managed and it wasnt that bad as if it had of been we would of been first to ask to be moved to another room. we didnt once during our 2 weeks stay have any cockroaches in our room! :-)
We didnt use the internet at the hotel as there is an internet cafe opposite the hotel and you can use it for half an hour for 1euro 60 and its very fast.
Kato Pafos where the hotel is situated is a lovely resort. we walked to the harbour a good few nights which is a nice walk takes about 20mins and there is plenty of shops and places to stop and get a drink if you get thirsty on the way. At the harbour there is plenty of small bars and restaurants which have seats on the front of the harbour and there is also bar street at the back if you want somewhere a bit more lively that stays open late into the night. If you dont want to go as far as the harbour then there is the irish pub opposite the hotel which is really nice the staff are so friendly and then there is the triangle at the bottom of street from hotel (5mins walk) which is a triangle of bars and restaurants, we went to the crocodile pub (which has baby croc in tank) or pegasus next door, both have promos on where you can collect tokens for free drinks or teeshirts etc and again staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome and its reasonably priced, one thing we learned anywhere we went there is always check out or ask what offers they have on, they always have something on to draw people in.
During the day theres lots to do, the beach at Coral Bay is really nice but dont go the main one got to the one just after it ( if you get the bus its the last stop where it turns round) its 1euro 50 each on the bus whatever stop you get off at, we also hired a 4x4 while we were there and got a good deal on it over there, we went all over in it, the troodos mountains which are beautifull and we also did a coastal drive along the coastal paths to lara bay and stopped at few beautifull little bays on the way (four wheel drive definaltey recommended). It is defiantely worth hiring a car if you can as there is plenty to see and we were so glad we did as we saw some beautiful sights.
All in all we were happy with what we got at the hotel for what we paid, its a 3* hotel so we werent expecting it to be lavish and luxiorious, but it was a pleasant stay and as long as your not expecting 4* or 5* you will be happy, i spoke to a lady who has been going to this hotel for last 5 years and everyone we spoke to that was staying at same time as us had no major complaints.
Hope this helps to put anyones minds at rest who have booked you really have nothing to worry about ;-)
