We stayed at the Park for a week January 2011. Could not fault the place. Foodm was good, staff friendly and helpful and excellent facilities. We intend to go back next year.

Lindley and Dixon party stayed at the Park Hotel for Ten Days(rooms 14 and 13) commencing 1 July 2009-excellent facilities with friendly efficient staff-this was our third stay in the Tyrol-this hotel excelled will probably return in the distant future.

stayed at Park Hotel 27th may -3rd june after booking 10 days previous following an ad in THE MAIL. Great hotel very comfortable good food nice bar and lounge with Sky tv.Staff were all very friendly and all speak english.If you book this hotel make sure you get TASTE OF TIROL package which comes with this hotel. It includes a trip to Hitlers Eagles Nest (read the web site). another to the Trimmle falls. a day in Salzberg(must visit the zoo). A ride on the cable car next to hotel.This package saved us about £200, and you still go with Thomson.

Excellent.
Spacious, clean rooms. Food - so much of it, well cooked and staff friendly and helpful.
Perfect position for ski lifts, ski school good. Nightlife if you need it. Mountain restaurants good. A good base for ski-ers and boarders alike. Only praise for this lovely hotel and the people who run it.

My wife and I stayed at the Park for a week, in June, We found it "the perfect" hotel.
Its position just on the outskirts of the village was far enough to be quiet, yet only a 5 min walk into town. Transport links were excellent, with the train station about 6 min away.
The gondola to the top of the mountain 4 min. The fantastic swimming pools 10 min walk away.
The hotel itself was very clean, very friendly staff (all family), the food was superb, with free unlimited drinks with evening meal, free bikes, free entry to pools, the rooms were not the biggest we have been in ,but, more than adequate.
The hotel ran some events themselves at no extra cost, a zither afternoon at another hotel, breakfast on the mountain (outdoors)plus some walking tours.
St Johann itself is ideally placed between 2 valleys, with KITZBHUL a 10 min bus ride away, and Elmau the same, for the mountain enthusiasts you have Kitzbuler Horn on one side and the Kaizers on the other.
There is over 210 klmts of cycle track ,both on the flat, and over the mountains, with wonderful walks in any direction, The more adventurous may want the white water rafting, or "canyoning" or even parascending from the top of the mountain.
We have travelled all over the world, and this hotel set in a little town in Austria is definitely one we will visit again. well worth its 4* rating.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Park hotel in St Johann; we found it to be superb.
Extremely friendly staff, excellent service, very good value, food was absolutely wonderful, set in between two valleys it is an ideal spot for Kitzbhul, (10 mins) Soll, (20mnts) Elmau 15 mins, the transport system, station 5 min walk, bus stops the same, every one running on time, and regularly, 3 min walk to cable car (gondola) swimming pool (which was excellent) 5 min walk.
The accommodation was not the biggest we have been in, but more than enough space, and very clean, we made good use of the free bicycle hire there being 200 kms of cycle tracks taking along the packed lunch that was given every day if wanted at no extra cost.
There is more physical activities if wanted, rafting, climbing, hiking trails of various degrees of difficulty, of course the scenery and views were to die for, we were only there for a week, but we wish it could have been more, probably 10 days would be ideal.
On a more serious note, I was taken ill , and had to go into hospital for 2 days, do not worry about that either, it is approx, 7 mins away, and, once again scrupulously clean, extremely efficient, and most speak very good English, treatment was far and away better than in uk. But a reminder take your e111 cards with you on holiday.
My wife and I have travelled extensively all over the world, Africa, America, Caribbean, cruises, Indian ocean, but this is one of the few places and hotels we definitely want to go back to.
By the end of our stay, the staff were more like friends that "staff”, it is a family run hotel in every sense; they make you feel like "family" I can also recommend the beer, which is made in the town also.
We went in June 07, the weather was in the high 70,s and eighties, any rain we had, which was very little, seems to come at night, with the odd thunderstorm, (better than fireworks).
The only thing I would say detrimental to st Johann is, there is not much to do at night, especially for younger people, but, for a relaxing, (or busy if you want) holiday we would thoroughly recommend the Park hotel, St Johann in Tirol Austria.

I only got back from my holiday in St Johann yesterday but I wanted to write a review on this hotel to let people know how great it is. From previous comments some people have obviously got slightly tired rooms but ours was excellent, the room and bathroom had been recently refurbished and they were spotless. I have very high standards when it comes to bathrooms and there was nothing I could fault with it. We did not have a balcony but we did have fantastic views of the mountains and the windows open right up which was good because we experienced extremely high temperatures all of the week. The food was amazing, four course dinners every night which were of such a high standard. I was concerned before we went on holiday because my son is a fairly fussy eater but he ate everything. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough, what with the free packed lunches, drinks at dinner and free entrance to the amazing swimming pool it really is a wonderful place to stay at.
