Stayed at Acrothea Hotel?

Best vacation I have had in a long time by xquisit3

For a lovely hotel with it's great location of the city. Nice view of the city, the islands and the sea from our balcony. I spent a lot of time here, which I never do!

It's owner and staff along with the town itself , just as lovely. If I ever come to Parga again, I will stay here.

As the summer season have finish in Parga (But Acrothea Hotel is not closed) we are more relaxed and we would like to THANK YOU ALL.... Thank you for your good words and for the time that you spend to write a review about us! Thank you, because by this way you give us the chance to see if we do something well or something wrong. But the biggest, THANK YOU, is because you give us the chance to meet you and create new friends. Because, as all of you feel, you came to "Acrothea" as customers and you left like friends! We hope to have the chance to see you again in Parga and in "Acrothea Hotel". With friendly regards, Dimitris & Family!

Great hotel, but avoid the "side sea view" rooms by kyklamina
8 / 10

Lovely hotel, exactly as others have said -- friendly people, pleasant surroundings, clean, nice room, good bathroom, excellent location, nice breakfast.

Our only disappointment was the view -- we were in one of the "side sea view" rooms on the lowest floor [though our booking agent didn't tell us this, so we thought we were getting a full view]. But "side sea view" is not an accurate description -- from our room there was only a view of the street & the nightclub opposite. From the balcony outside our room you had sideways views of a bit more of the town, but still not even a tiny glimpse of the sea. Our room did have use of another balcony which had a lovely view, but this meant leaving your room, locking the door, and climbing about 12 steps to the next level-- not a major problem, but it does rule out staggering out onto your balcony in your dressing gown to enjoy the view with your morning coffee. I don't think it's fair to describe this room as having even a partial sea view

Also there was a lot of noise from the nightclub even with our windows closed, as it was VERY close!!

So I'd say, yes, DO go to this hotel but DON'T go for a side-view room, make sure you have one of the upstairs rooms, it's worth the extra money, otherwise go somewhere else.

We would like to thank you for this review and for your good words. That help`s our try to be better every single day. How ever we have to say that we are really disappointed for that you are "proposing" our future customers to GO to ANOTHER hotel, IF they don`t have the rooms with full sea view... It was not our mistake that the travel agent you have visit, didn`t explain you what type of room you`ll have and left you believe that you`ll have one of our full sea view rooms. It`s alway good to call the hotels and check what type of room the travel agents book for us and also for making a corect market research(prices etc.). Our finaly point is that we have many satisfied customers that they have stay on the side sea view rooms. The only diference is that they was informed corect about the type of room before they arrive, so they knew what they get/pay! One more time, thank you for your review and we are looking forward to see you again in Parga and in our hotel. Friendly regards, Dimitris

You should stay there... Combination of excellent service and location... by ellieGreece

During our Summer vacation in Parga we chose to stay in Acrothea hotel. We have previously done a "market rsearch" by contacting various hotels by e-mail and our impression of Acrothea hotel was positive right from the start. Our 6-day stay confirmed that we chose the best hotel in Parga.

We would like to thank Dimitris (the owner) and all the staff for the excellent service and friendly atmosphere. We stayed in room 302, with a wonderful view of the island of Panagia and the Castle. We would definately return to Acrothea and of course suggest it to friends :)

During your stay don't forget to visit "Sakis", a local traditional taverna run by the family. Although it is up the hill next to the Parga Castle, the great food and service is worth it.

We had a great week at Acrothea hotel in Parga! Just as we like it. Great view from the balcony, excellent location! Very friendly staff, nice breakfast to be enjoyed at the hotel terrace with a magnificent view. Great room, great hotel. Many steps, so not for people with disabilities or health problems.

Everything you could wish for in a holiday by Philyerboots
10 / 10

What more could be said about this lovely hotel and it's owner and staff along with the town itself , that hasn't already been covered. We have seldom returned to a holiday location and never more than twice but I'm sure we will be returning to Parga and the Acrothea a third and probably more times as this is truly the most enchanting part of Greece we have visited and Sakis restaurant will most definately be top of the list for eating out.

BEST HOLIDAY IN PARGA by mitznhols
10 / 10

We have just returned from the best holiday in Parga staying at the ACROTHEA HOTEL , it is situated on main road going into Parga and has superb views across to Paxos and Antipaxos and is central to all restaurants and amenities.

This is a small family run Hotel, and the hotel is managed by Dimitri who is an excellent host for whom NOTHING is too much trouble.

The family also have a restaurant up on Valtos called Sakis where all the food is fresh and home cooked at reasonable prices.

We have been to Parga many times and hopefully will return many more times if only for the Acrothea Hotel and the Tsovilis family.

Fantastic Views, excellent location, comfortable and efficiently run from start to finish! by milly5902

We chose the Acrothea because of its location to bars, restaurants and beach. It has magnificent views of the harbour and town but we were on the top floor so had to climb many steps to reach our room. Not a problem to us but maybe be in some circumstances.TYou could alternatively walk round the top road to reach these rooms. (Not far)But you can ask for a lower room. The owner Dimitris is a very nice friendly man who I'm sure would help in any way he could. He certainly suggested places and routes for us to visit. Breakfast was continental with very varied and fresh produce. it does not have a pool but not many hotels in Parga do because of the lack of space in the old town.Any way the beach is only five minutes walk away. Many bars and restaurants are even nearer.

Would highly recommend the Acrothea Hotel.

Never forget the splendid wiev by Svein
10 / 10

We had room 303 ( I think this should be classified as a hotel, not B & B). Only the 2 upper levels have the fantastic wiev. Sitting on the balcony looking out on the town and sea, is a wiev I will never forget. Dimitris was a fantastic owner, and we ate 3 times in a week at his family restaurant on the other side of the town, it had been in the family since the 1950's.

Even if the room was on the 3rd floor with the main road in Parga behind us, we never heard a sound from the traffic.

We booked directly with the hotel.

There was a kitchenette in the room, but we were not aloowed to use it. Breakfast was not allowed to bring to the room. Room was very clean. No rooms with twinbeds, only matrimonial beds.

Just perfect !!! :)) by MaritGL
10 / 10

I have been many times in beautiful Parga, but first time i stayed in the newly buildt hotel Acrothea :) Acrothea is perfect ! Perfect location with stunning view over beautiful Parga. Some rooms do not have seaview, but the location, service and standard weigh up ! The owners of the hotel is the nicest people, and the service at the hotel is the best. The rooms are pretty and with balconies the can room 4 people :) This is where you should stay if you love to sit in your balcony and look over the ocean and the all the beauty of Parga - and you easily can walk down to the promenade and walk along the sea, find a bar og restaurant to sit down and just enjoy life. Acrothea is my favorit- and i love it !! Iwill be back next summer.

ps: This family also have the best restaurant : Sakkis , you have to go there one or more nights when you are there :))

I love Parga and Acrothea !!! see you again soon

Hilsen Marit and Christine :)
