just had 2 weeks in sunny beach and although the hotel was ok the resort itself was dirty, run down and full of stalls overcharging for everything they sold. hotel pool was too cold to use but the sea was nice. We have renamed it sunny rip off!

I went to the hotel helena park sunny beach for 2 weeks with my parents and my boyfriend. I am 16 years old and i vote this hotel the best hotel ive stayed in, there is nothing i could fault about this hotel. The rooms were big and spacious, with massive comfy beds. The room is cleaned every day and new towels were given every day. on arrival you are given a card each, this you use to get towels for the day to take to the beach or the pool, so there is no need to take any towels of your own as me and my family found that we never needed to use them. The hotel is amazing, everything is made of marble and the little river that flows roudn the hotel is beautiful. The staff here were very friendly and helpful they were always smiling and laughing. watersports and water gymnastics were on everyday if you are interested, i did not get involved with this but it looked great fun. The pool is a little cold but as the weather is so hot, the pool is a nice cooling off place. The hotel is seated right on the beach and so there is only a short stroll through helena sands resort and your sitting comfortably on the beach. There are a wide range of activities on the beach which were great fun. Banana boat was great fun for only 15 lev you would love it. The night life is great. In a short 10 minute walk you can stroll allong the streets of sunny beach were you will find plenty of shops and supermarkets, however the clothes are fake they are still very cheap and i dont think anyone would notice wether they are fake or not. The furthur you go the cheaper it gets, the cheapest beer we found was 0.80 lev which is equivilent to around 40pence, you can also get a filling meal for around 10 lev, 5 pounds. There is so much for you to spend your money on and all night there is happy hour on all cocktails, this is a great hit. Also the people who work in teh restaurants are very nice, they all seem to remeber you and make you feel welcome. A nice place to go is to teh town nessebar, however do not take the bus take either the train which is 1 lev, or teh boat which is 20 lev, this last aroudn 35 minutes and you get to see the whole of sunny beach. The only bad thing i can think of about this holiday is the fact that we were only there 2 weeks. I just cant wait to go back here when im older and i can really get to know the night life a little better.
