me and my husband have been here on hoilday about five time the staff are great any one who trys to walk from the hotel to the mariana is mad as the sun is to hot . people who do not want a quite hoilday should not go on hoilday to a quite hotel .

worst experience in algarve from DesLeeds
staff were not friendly or helpful, except for the maid.No atmospherein bar or restaurant, the food when served(40 mins for starter) was cold and inedible.Used their transport to golf courses, was left waiting 75mins to be picked up.insufficient sun loungers.Courtesy bus to beach and marina only ran monday to friday.All in all the worst experience in five years to vilamoura, will defininately not be using or recommending this facility again
Great Accomodation from Dave&Rae
We booked a last minute holiday to the Algarve for Easter and got a studio apartment at Hotel Vilamoura Golf. It was the cleanest, brightest and most spacious self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. Good size bathroom with excellent powerful shower. Heating / air con unit at no extra charge. Well maintained gardens and grounds and pleasant staff. The accomodation is a short taxi ride from the marina, which cost 6-7 Euros a trip, the staff are more than happy to arrange these. There is also a well stocked supermarket a short walk from the complex. Well worth staying at!

Absolutely Fantastic from gem1066
This hotel is absolutely brilliant. We travelled on 29th December 2007 and stayed for 7 nights self catering in a studio apartment and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and efficient and our apartment was spotless and we could not find fault with anything. We had a maid service every day with clean bed linen and towels. In short we had absolutely everything we could have wanted and I am sure that if we had needed anything more it would not have been a problem. We had family staying elsewhere in Vilamoura and they were more impressed with our accomodation than theirs and they have been going to Vilamoura for 30 years! Added to the fact that this hotel was very reasonable we would not hesitate to go back and stay here.
First Time Visitors from tilbury79
As this was our first trip to Portugal we booked through travel agent recommendation. I have to say we were not disappointed. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which had everything we needed for our 7 night stay (including 2 TV's). Cleanliness was exceptional with maid service and towel change every day. As a lot of the residents where parties of golfers it meant that the pool area was very quiet with no fighting for sun beds and actually being able to swim in the large pool. The only downside we found was that the courtesy bus only ran twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon so as I have a disability we were depending on taxis to the beach and marina which ranged between 4 and 6 euros per trip. That said it will not stop us from going back again. We will be booking our next trip via the hotel website - they do have some cracking deals for those of you who are golfers!!!

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Do Golfe, we stayed there a few years ago and enjoyed it so much we decided to go back. The apartments are cleaned every day and the maid service was wonderful, the staff as usual were very friendly and nothing was too much trou ble. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday with no fights over the sunbeds then you will not get much better. We booked through a travel agent but next time we will book it direct as it is so easy and we would have liked to stay for 10 nights which we couldnt do through the agent. We will definately be back next year. On the way back on the plane we were talking to some poeple that had stayed at 4 and 5* hotels which they said were terrible so Do Golfe has got to be great value for money. Thank you Do Golfe

Just back from Vilamoura where we stayed at the Clube Hotel Apartmento do Golfe. The apartments and their situation were good. But oh! that road into Vilamoura. I had already read a review mentioning the connecting road where it was an unlit, single track road. This I found out to be true. If only the local authority would complete the development between Vilamoura and Quartiera where these apartments are, then all would be perfect.

Well the title says it all really! Vilamoura is a lovely location and the apartments were perfect, spotlessly clean. There is a small kitchen area with a fridge, oven and all the cutlrey is provided. We stayed half board, the breakfast buffet was good, more choice would have been appreciated but the evening meal was delicious, I recommend the swordfish. You have a choice between 2 starters, usually salad or soup, 2 main courses, usually a fish or meat e.g. chicken, pork, lamb and 2 deserts. Breakfast was from 6:30am – 10:30am and dinner from 6:30pm – 10:30pm. We were also told by the receptionist that it is possible to swap your evening meal to the afternoon, if required. There is a lovely grassy area with sunbeds and two swimming pools, there was never a fight for sunbeds either, which was a bonus! The golf bar had entertainment on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and there is another bar outside, where you could buy snacks and drinks. The Hotel Apartamento do Golfe provides a free shuttle bus to the marina from 10:30am – 17:10pm, the marina is lined with lovely restaurants and the usual souvenier shops, however I didn't find them as tacky as other resorts. There is also a Mcdonalds and Pizza Hut. We took a taxi to the marina once and it came to approximatly 6 Euros. Whilst there we took a day trip to Fatima, which was good however its a really long journey - 5 hours! We also went to the market in Loule, some great bargains and a nice trip. The reception staff booked the trips, they were through Paradise Tours and we were very happy with them. We also went to Roma Mini-Golf and it is great fun, especially for children but we loved it too. There are lots of brouchures on the reception desk, you definatly won't be short of things to do. Overall my partner and I thought the Hotel Apartamento do Golfe and the Vilamoura area was excellent.

The hotel was perfect. Employers were very kind. Breakfast great, included scramble eggs. Dinner was perfect. We ate grilled chicken. There was a big pool. The only bad thing is that you must take the car to go to Vilamoura for dinner or shopping. But it doesn´t mind, really!!!

Hi , returned yesterday from this super hotel " Hotel Apartamento do Golf Vilamoura ". My husband and I wanted a quiet break after spending a recent holiday in Salou with our 2 young granchildren in a hectic whirl of mini discos and fun packed days. The Hotel do Golf provided an ideal environment located in quiet ,lovely grounds with an extra large swimming pool and a peaceful atmosphere in which to enjoy lazy days and friendly , sociable evenings listening to a variety of tasteful artists on 3 nights of our stay. Our accommodation was a spacious studio apartment with a fully equiped kitchen area complete with tea towels , a vast array of pots and pans , microwave, kettle, toaster, etc all maintained to a very high standard of cleanleness. All bed linen, towels etc were snowey white and towels were changed daily. The bathroom offered facilities hard to find in 4 or even some 5 star hotels, it was very large and provided a hairdryer even a wall phone. The daily maid service made sure everything was maintained to the highest standards of cleanleness. On this super site all apartments and studios have direct dial telephones, air con, satelite TV and terrace/ balcony, sunbeds and mattresses at no extra charge . The site offers a large adult pool , a large childrens pool, a games room, breakfast room , bar, snack bar restaurant, laundry service and a comfortable lounge area. A mini bus makes 4 trips daily to the Marina and beach approx 4 kil away. Staff were great and services excellent we will certainly be going back here .
