Hotel is really ok!! I spent there one week with my wife in february. The only thing that really disapointed me was EXTREMALY COLD water in the pool!! Don t U even think about swimming there (february)!!! U must go on a trip to FOUR ISLAND which is organised by the hotel touroperator on the beach (30euro-worth it!). Giftun island is amazing!! Staff is very annoying, disturbing U, offering drinks or just a chat..I kept hear "where r u from my friend?", "how r u my friend?", etc. In general: we enjoyed!

Me, my mother and my sister went to hurghada egypt in november 2006, not knowing what to expect or how it´s gonna be. We were so pleasent surprised over everything, to start with the hotel, it was amazing, beautiful, great poolarea, gret arcitecture, good staf and great food. Finding a last minute travel trough an Norwegian charter company, we ended up at Grand Seas Resort. At arrival at the resort, we had to leave our luggage by the stairs, waiting for check in, before the staff carried it to our room. We were told that this was standard procedure, but of course it is only a method for the egyptian staff to be able to ask for a tip. We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks, and it was great. When you first see the outdoor of hotel you think "hmh, this doesn`t look convincing", but from the moment you enter it you found yourself in a dream land. All the working staff are nice, from the receptionist, waiters to the cleaning personel. You can chit chat with them, and they allways make you laugh. Great hotel, about 10min drive from the center of Hurghada (the bus costs 0,5 EUR - very cheap). Really good location - directly by the sea, out of the city crowd. The hotel and rooms are very clean - every day a man was polishing the floors, but if you want your room made every day - you have to tip the personnel (1EUR would be enough). You have to tip them also at dinner and lunch - if you won't - they wouldn't serve you next time. But it's like that everywhere in Egypt! Noone does anything if no tip is left! The food was tasty. We stayed at the hotel for 14 days. Our room was spacious and very clean. Both the breakfast and the dinner self service bar provided lots of different European and Egyptian food, so we could choose different food every day. The staff was very kind and made us feel welcome. Despite the on site diving center we decided to dive at the Colona Divers at the Magawish resort. Had a week in April and had a really good week. Could easily spend whole week in hotel complex - not sure a trip into Hurghada was worthwhile - the hotel minibus does a daily run to the bazaar area. Hotel very clean and rooms were very spacious. Staff very friendly and could not have been more helpful. Very few English visitors at hotel - mainly German. After much searching on the internet, of Hurghada hotels, we were delighted with The Grand Seas. The hotel was modern, clean and spacious. Our room was huge and attentively cleaned each day. The pool is lovely , although a little cold in Feb. Beach very good. We stayed on a half board basis and didn't plan to eat in the hotel as we thought we would prefer to go into town. We were pleasantly suprised with the buffet dinner and as a result chose to eat there 4/7 nights. Easy to get into Hurgahada which has a good few bars quite low key... more

This is a european german/ french type aimed hotel noticed by the food being served and the customer staying there, The staff are 1st class especally to young children concider there differences of culture be respectfull & they will treat you like royalty. Our stay at the Grand Seas Resort Hostmark combined the best and worst of a vacation. Let’s start with the positives; --We found that there was a good mix of nationalities which was quite pleasant – lots of Russians, Germans, Italians, Swiss.
