The fabulous Pestana Viking Resort is ideally situated on a cliff offering spectacular panoramic views of the sparkling Atlantic ocean and Senhora da Rocha beach. Set in luxurious gardens the hotel has 184 well equipped rooms all with air conditioning, television, telephone, radio, safe and balcony or terrace. Leisure facilities in the resort include 3 restaurants, 4 bars, 4 swimming pools and mini golf.

This is a fabulous hotel and the staff are very friendly. There is not a lot going on in or around the hotel, but if it's a relaxing break you need this is just the place. Everywhere is hilly, so we ended up hiring a car.
The beach is gorgeous and you can walk through the cliffs to a small beach on the other side. Sit and watch the fishermen bringing in their catches.
Armacao de Pera is very built up and not a pretty place, however we went to Cavoiera and it was more of a traditional place, but with everything you would need.
Again though, very hilly!
10 out of 10 for this Hotel, it's setting (book a sea view) and its staff.
