According to the rankings on this website the Pestana Levante Hotel is supposed #7 out of 8 in Armacoa de Pera. Not according to myself, my wife or my brother in law it's not, more like #1. This year will be our third stay. The Pestana Levante is not too big or impersonal and it's not too small and inadequate, it is just right; not just for us but for larger parties (golfers) and families with children. What we like most of all by comparison is 1: the friendly service and relaxed ambience, 2: the food and 3: the efficiency and cleanliness of the hotel. I have misgivings about singing my praise for Portugal, Armacoa de Pera and the hotel Pestana Levante too loudly; I don't want to spoil it all by making it too popular, but I must give credit where credit is due
