great hotel we were a family of 4 adults and one child age 3 years old. the hotel was very clean and the staff were all friendly and really helpful the rooms were spotless cleaned every day the pool area was really good my 3yrs old loved it couldnt get her out of the baby pool. the only down side was the food it catered mainly for the spanish eg squid in its own sauce yuck couldnt even look at it my husband had a steak which u would have needed a saw to cut it that was the only down side we ate out nearly every night overall the hotel and staff were all excellent .

wow

i got back from benidorm this morning and i loved the hotel

the entertainment was super and definitley something for everyone

all of the staf there spoke great english and although there seemed to be more spanish than english both nationalities were made to feel welcome

it was extremely clean and you could see that all of the staf took pride in their work

my grandma did have an unfortunate accident needing instant hospital treatment and the staff did everything they could to help with the situation

but lastly, gonzales the entertainment guy was funny, good looking, fit and well... i love him

hes fantastic and im so glad he agreed for a photo with me

i would recommend the hotel to everyone

Great Location by pixinspice

Just returned from 2 weeks at Poseidon Hotel stopping there with my husband and 2 children, 13 and 8 years. The hotel is very clean and has a no smoking policy throughout. The rooms are modern and cleaned daily. The bathroom has everything you need including an hairdryer. Plenty of hot water and a powerful shower. This hotel is two hotels in one sharing everything with the Poseidon Palace. Poseidon is 6 floors high, Palace is 14. The pool area is very pretty with plenty of sunbeds, though not many umberellas. It gets full sun all of the day which is not always the case is some Benidorm hotels. Bar prices around the pool are reasonable though there is a supermarket just outside. The food was good and aways warm, though did lack in vegetables, lots of meat, fish and potatoes. Staff very friendly and polite. The entertainment was aimed at the spanish guests but you dont need to rely on hotel entertainment in Benidorm. Daytime activities included the usual water polo, aquaerobics, darts etc. Hotel mini club for the kids 5-12 years. Internet room and games room for the older ones. The location of this hotel could not be better, it is right in the centre of Benidorm half way between both beaches. Poniente and Lavente. Benidorm old town where the Spanish bars are is about 15 mins away whereas the new town ,where all the british bars and caberet shows are is about 10 mins away. So to summerise this hotel is a modern clean hotel in an ideal location to sample both halves of Benidorm. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Traveled to Benidorm last year with 5... by R Scott
10 / 10

Traveled to Benidorm last year with 5 other teenage girls, wanted something cheap but nice and close to the clubs and of course the beach. Chose the poseidon complex and was very happy with the results.

The hotel itself:

The hotel was great. There were two pools, one was your average rectangular pool that they used for water volley in the afternoon and there was the freeform pool which was big and very clean. Our room was cleaned daily, fresh towels and change of sheets. Three us of stayed in one room and found it big enough for our rather big suitcases. Balcony too for lounging out on was nice.

The entertainment:

not sure about how much fun the kids there were having but I took full advantage of the activities offered and tried out some shooting, water aerobics and water volley. Didn’t stick around much for evening entertainment as I found clubs much more to my liking. Also the 1 o’clock cocktail game for a litre of sangria was a fun game for everyone to join in on.

The food:

Staying half board we found the breakfast to be quite good, the best that can be expected when catering for such large amounts of people. Some of my fellow companions failed to make it down to breakfast but when they did they seemed happy with it also. the dinner was quite good also, big range of food, perhaps not the best quality ever but still pleasant and worth being half board.

The staff:

Wonderful, always helpful. Gonzalo was great fun and kept us thoroughly amused.

The area:

Benidorm, well what can I say? Bit of everything for everyone. I tried out terra mitica and it was fantastic, the rides were very good and worth the average price you pay to go there. Wanted to try out the water sports but alcohol consumption prevented us from doing that! Shopping, great, some bargains to be found. The beach, playa de levante is a very short 5 mins away and is quite busy but still fab all the same.

Spent most of the time by the pool though. just a warning to young first time goers- DO NOT go out all dressed up in tiny little skirts at Britain’s usual time of 11:00, the families and old people still dominate the streets and look at you funny.

Lovely Friendly Hotel by Katcar1
8 / 10

Stayed in this hotel during school holidays with my husband and 2 daughters aged 6 and 3. Food was fab, staff were all very fluent in English and very polite. Entertainment staff were very good with kids even although they were the only British kids in the hotel!! Pools were lovely although we had to use the indoor pool as it was too cold outside. Rooms were lovely and clean and spacious. Overall really loved this hotel although would have preffered to have been a bit closer to the new town. Would recommend to anyone of any age. This is a lovely hotel...

Very Clean, in particular the kitchen... by E Timms
8 / 10

Very Clean, in particular the kitchen and dinning areas! Food very good- a wide range of dishes to choose from at each meal. Packed lunches if required!

Staff helpful too. Location is ideal- between bars and old town, but its only short, flat walk to front. I would return there and recommend this complex - the two hotels share some facilities.

However, for those with younger children and teenagers the entertainment is lacking, it probably appeals to the more sedate, quieter characters, with social dancing and stage acts in the evenings!

Great hotel and location by Nevster

Have just returned from a 'long-weekend' stay at the Poseidon Hotel In Benidorm. There were four of us with ages ranging from 44 to 78 and we found it sufficiently equipped and located for those with walking difficulties or who are confined to a wheelchair.

The standard of accommodation was excellent; rooms were well furnished and exceptionally clean with maid-service every day. Food was, as is traditional, served buffet style and there was a good selection of choices on each occasion. I'd be surprised if anyone could say that there was nothing suitable for them to eat as the choice was so wide (unless of course they are impossible to please). We spoke to people who had been returning to the hotel regularly which, in itself is a good indication of its appeal.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times and I found the reception staff particulary good; their English being fluent. Without doubt I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed here in Jan 06 . Fantastic... by  P Fogarty

Stayed here in Jan 06 . Fantastic hotel staff very friendly and helpful . Very clean and centrally situated. Met some brill folk mainly Dutch English and of course SCOTTISH.

Cheap at this time of year. Plenty of entertainment would recommend tom pepper scouse comedian. Will be back definitely.

Some good acts on at stardust but drinks pricey. Celtic tavern good at night but drinks pricey. To mention Poseidon complex has gala dinner on Friday nights, wonderful.

just got back from a weeks stay in the hotel poseidon.what a fabulous hotel, it was absolutely immaculate, laminate flooring in bedrooms, big rooms, a big balcony, and the toilet was all marble with a power shower and even a hairdryer!! satellite tv in rooms with channel 5 as much as you want it!! if thats a good thing.reception staff very helpful head waiter in restaurant not so nice good at eyeing you up and down to see if you are wearing the correct attire.I would say that november is not a good time to go if you want to avoid the "blue rinse brigade" no offence to anyone but we are in our thirtys so the entertainment was all geared for the older generation and also at this time of year the spanish have a siesta fortnight so the hotel was full of spanish but im quite sure this wouldnt be the case the rest of the year i also think this about the entertainment,i think it would be different in the height of the season there is a very young entertainment team and i feel they were only providing for the older generation at this time of year. The meals were fab! wide choice to suit everyone and you could eat off the floor if you wanted to a lot more than i could say for most of the spanish hotels ive dined in.At this hotel if you wish you can hire a fridge for a few euros which i thought was great, cant always do that in hotels, an added bonus!when you stay here you are able to use the poseidon palaces facilities and this includes their indoor pool which is brill.the maids a very nice and do their job well clean towels every day and bed linen changed.in summing up of this hotel i would say this is the best ive stayed in cant really fault it whatsoever i will definately go back no doubts there.and after having a bad experience this year in a hotel in spain in summer this made up for it big time! FABULOUS CANT WAIT TO GO BACK

we stayed at the poseidon hotel from 31/10/05-6/11/05.

the rooms were excellant, the staff were extremely helpful & if you asked for something they had it to you within minutes. You can hire fridges for around 14 euros for the week.

The pool is nice & you can share the facilities of the poseidon palace next door, the palace also has an indoor pool & gym.

The food is buffet style with plenty of choice, there was 8 of us & none of us could find fault with the food, staff or hotel facilities, we've been to benidorm several times but this is the best place we have stayed. Its location is central for both old & new towns which made it an ideal base.

I am just back from Benidorm where I stayed at the Hotel posiedon!! The hotel was lovely, couldn't have been better, the only problem was we had been advised that it was situated in Levante when infact it is right in the old town with a 30minute walk to the square!! Apart from that the hotel itself is brilliant, you just have 2 b out first thing 2make it possible 2 get a lounger!!
