Hotel Poseidon Centre

food was disgusting,fine if you like egg,beans,chips, for your evening meal,breakfast,fine if you like beans & chips
& some sort of omlet which you can repair shoes with,& some sort of other food which i can not find out what it was,after two days started to eat out, we had more respect for our insides, entertainment same keyboard player all the week if you lik e to dance then this is a no,no only for the local spanish dancers,if you get on to the floor thy will try and push you off,
you have been warned so on your hwad be it

Just spent a week in the poseidon centre hotel the staff were helpful,But the entertainment was non existant and the hotel was mainly caterd for the spanish,although the rooms were spotless i would not recommend this hotel unless you speak some spanish.

we have recently come back from posidon centre we took two teenagers with us although the hotel is very clean the food was horrible we couldnt eat it we went halfboard and only ate in the hotel twice that was enough the staff are iggnorant there were no english staying at the hotel the entertainment was none existent and when there was entertainment it was spanish i would not reccomend this hotel we wpold go back to benidorm we had a great time but would not stop in this hotel

We've just had a short 4 day break at the poseidon palace,Bendidorm. This hotel met our needs perfectly. The hotel was spotlessly clean.
We stayed on a half board basis, the food was excellant, buffet style, lots of dishes to choose from, brilliant salad bar,in fact too much choice for breakfast.
The reception staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble, they arranged a wheelchair for 1 party member, taxi's and tickets for 10 to nightspots.
The location is fantastic 5 minute walk to the old town and beach just a few minutes further.
Bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Lovely clean outdoor pool area, indoor pool, gym and jacquzzi. Enough sunbeds to go round,but you will find some reserved with obligatory towel from early morning.Evening entertainment not the best but for a short break passable.
I would certainly use this hotel again and would highly recommend it if you are considering a trip to Benidorm.
Also Benidorm Palace worth a visit, fantastic evening of entertainment, be enthralled.

food was awful.... kids had to eat out all the time... the nite entertinment was a joke...staff not nice apart from big bald fella in restaurant.... rooms were very small,,, not for english people spanish poeple would push u out of way

I returned to this hotel again this year after a lovely holiday last year. We were not disappointed. Hotel was very clean at all times and room was cleaned to the highest standards every day. Hotel staff were very friendly. Most guests were Spanish but highly entertaining to watch especially in the evening when they try to outdo one another with their ballroom dancing! Food was average but we always found something to enjoy and young daughters ate well. Sad to leave this friendly hotel and may well return in the future.

Myself and my wife took our two children, ages 16 & 10, for a long weekend.
After the confusion at check in (there are actually 2 hotels in the complex) we found the hotel to be of a very high standard.
Rooms:
The room we stayed in was very clean, a little on the small side but had a lovely balcony overlooking the large pool.
Food:
The food was served buffet style and there was a wide variety of choice. We were impressed that it was such good quality and it must have been good because our 10 year old ate it!
Overall the hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly we will definitely go again.

We found the hotel clean, staff very friendly and efficient. Guests were predominately Spanish, especially at the weekend when the hotel filled with short stays. The food was average, but often only warm and became repetitious, although the salad and cold meat selection was excellent.
We did notice that any unidentifiable dishes or left over make-ups were labeled chef special. At times the noise level from adjacent bedrooms was unacceptable, probably due to the thinness of the hotel walls. The hotel is well situated for the old town, entertainment and Levante beach.
One sour note, we booked with Thomsons and with their policy of having no reps. At hotels, we managed to find their information centre and went in to book two trips. Inside we were the only customers, four Thomson girls were sat at their desks, all ignored us and after standing for 10 min. We left and booked our trips with Thomas Cook at the hotel.

Visitors beware of this hotel, although it is nice and clean the hotel is 80 per cent Spanish, lousy entertainment if you can call it entertainment.
Staff not friendly and the food was disgusting, nothing for the kids to do unless you are Spanish you have to get out of the pool when they are playing games, no air beds aloud in the pool which is pathetic, saw two Spanish women weeing in the kids pool which I found totally disgusting.
I will not return to this hotel and would certainly not recommend it unless you are Spanish!

Traveled to Benidorm last year with 5 other teenage girls, wanted something cheap but nice and close to the clubs and of course the beach. Chose the poseidon complex and was very happy with the results.
The hotel itself:
The hotel was great. There were two pools, one was your average rectangular pool that they used for water volley in the afternoon and there was the freeform pool which was big and very clean. Our room was cleaned daily, fresh towels and change of sheets. Three us of stayed in one room and found it big enough for our rather big suitcases. Balcony too for lounging out on was nice.
The entertainment:
not sure about how much fun the kids there were having but I took full advantage of the activities offered and tried out some shooting, water aerobics and water volley. Didn’t stick around much for evening entertainment as I found clubs much more to my liking. Also the 1 o’clock cocktail game for a litre of sangria was a fun game for everyone to join in on.
The food:
Staying half board we found the breakfast to be quite good, the best that can be expected when catering for such large amounts of people. Some of my fellow companions failed to make it down to breakfast but when they did they seemed happy with it also. the dinner was quite good also, big range of food, perhaps not the best quality ever but still pleasant and worth being half board.
The staff:
Wonderful, always helpful. Gonzalo was great fun and kept us thoroughly amused.
The area:
Benidorm, well what can I say? Bit of everything for everyone. I tried out terra mitica and it was fantastic, the rides were very good and worth the average price you pay to go there. Wanted to try out the water sports but alcohol consumption prevented us from doing that! Shopping, great, some bargains to be found. The beach, playa de levante is a very short 5 mins away and is quite busy but still fab all the same.
Spent most of the time by the pool though. just a warning to young first time goers- DO NOT go out all dressed up in tiny little skirts at Britain’s usual time of 11:00, the families and old people still dominate the streets and look at you funny.
