When we finally arrived after 17 hours i was shocked to see a green swimming pool full of allgi ,my room was full of ants and we had a wasps nest out the bathroom window, so we could'nt open the window ,there is no air condition so the room was very hot and stuffy ,we flown with viking airline and the plane was delayed for 9 hours (not very nice when you have been up since 1.30am
the plane was dirty and staff where rude and did'nt want to know they just wanted rid of us .SO IF YOU EVERY BOOK A HOLIDAY WITH THEM YOU CAN EXPECT A VERY LONG JOURNEY I FEEL VERY VERY ANGRY WITH THEM. Infuture we will be flying with first choice as it only takes about 6/1/2 hours to 7 hours to get there . and staying at the matoula hotel were it is clean and safe for kids to play .if you need any more awful info contact me at jyedee01@hotmail.com.

this place is a disgrace we put up with leaking toilet threadber sheets the tap coming off in our hands every time we used it. ants every were even in our wardrobe. i stayed hear with my daughter and my three grandchildren ages 1 2 6 in a two bedroom apartment. it had 1small wardrobe and one two draw cupboard. the food was adequate for adults if you like your salads but this is left outside for a couple of hours each meal time not covered there was nothing for my two youngest grandchildren asking the manager for any help on this matter was a waste of time he reminded us we were just complainers that's because we complained about the leaking toilet ext the only snacks you can get between meals is Swiss roll I'm not jocking. only children can have ice cream on the all exclusive. the play area for the children. steps. uneven surfaces and on the slide there was an active hornets nest even when told about it they didn't do anything about it. the staff were lovely with us and understood our complaints but the manager is just full of him self and not running this complex. we expected basic but this place was terrible. do yourself a favour and stay away

Lovely people, lovely holiday, lovely place.
I’m 16 years old and I came to Corifo village with my family, including two 12 year olds, a 4 year old and a 1 year old. It was quite simply a brilliant holiday! Having read the reviews, we were all bricking ourselves, petrified we were going to have to put up with this hotel for a whole week, we had to just tell ourselves ‘it’s what you make it in the end’. As it turned out, we were really surprised.
The apartments were basic, but this is Greece, what do you expect? They were perfectly adequate for everything we needed and mostly quite spacious. The only thing I would say is that the bathrooms were small and shabby, however, the toilets near the pool were nice and regularly cleaned so it’s only at night time when you’d need to use the loo. Also, there was not a kettle so if you need one bring your own!
Having read the reviews, we were most worried about the food and admittedly, I was never up in time for breakfast but I was told it was fine. Lunch and dinner was always good, wholesome food, just as mamma makes it, and there was always something there to cater everyone’s tastes, it was kept covered to keep it warm and protected from any wasps apart from the salads. The people who have said the food was “swarming” with wasps were quite simply lying because there were no more around the food that at the other end of the swimming pool.
The staff were bubbly and friendly and always willing to help you out from anything to booking a taxi to getting a spare room key to directions to places. We didn’t need to complain so we didn’t see how they acted in that kind of situation but anybody complaining is complaining for the sake of it. The bar stayed open until midnight and offered a good selection on all inclusive and nice cocktails for a reasonable price.
Furthermore, the pool was a very good pool, always clean and usable for both mucking around in the shallows and diving, we had endless fun in there! The resort was also lovely and there was a water park walking distance from the hotel. The other guests at the hotel were all lovely people too and we didn’t meet anybody who thought the reviews previously posted on here were ridiculous.
Most importantly, as I mentioned, we came to Corfio Village with adults, teens and small children and there was always something for everybody to do at the hotel, we spent most of our time there which is very unusual for us. I’d definitely go back there again if I could!

this hotel is a completly disaster. when I get there I was shocked of that what i saw. Everything was difrent then on the pictures in the internet. I came at night and the owner gave me only water no meal I was hungry and mad. But when I get on the breakfast ... I don't know how to describe it. there was one kind of ham and one kind of cheese water melon, tomato, corn flakes and thats end of the menu.the dishes were dirty and there was not enough food for everyone. My apartment was also terrible. It was dirty and uncomfortable, no air-conditioning when in the day it was above 40 degrees.I had all inclusive but I had to pai for ice creams and vane.that were the worst holidays in my life. If somebody wants to see pictures leave you're e-mail here.

Resort was lovely, apartments were awful.
It started badly when the coach dropped us off. Our room wasn't ready but we weren't even offered a courtesy drink. We had to dig around in our luggage until we could pay for a drink!
The room was dark and dingy and for self catering you couldn't have managed. We went self catering but there wasn't anywhere near enough equipment in the kitchen. There wasn't even a kettle! There were saucepans but no utensils. It was generally grotty.
The key snapped in the lock on the 2nd night and when we went to the owner to tell him, my husband went to toilet then he tried to hustle £10 out of me for a new lock saying that it must have been our fault. He said a 5* hotel would make us pay. I told him it wouldn't have happened in a 5* hotel!
We never ate breakfast there due to the fact the food wasn't covered and there were flies and wasps all over it.
We would definately go back to Acharavi but definately not to Corifo Village.

We stayed at the corifo village this July/August and had a lovely time. The apartments were typical Greek - basic but very clean with everything in good working order.
The only let down were the breakfasts which did not cater well for vegetarians and if you arrived later rather than earlier the food was cold or inhabited by wasps and flies as it wasn't covered. However, Alex, the owner and tom the bar man were very friendly and helpful.
Acharavi, itself, was lovely. All the locals were friendly and the food was delicious. The neraida on the beach front is worth a visit as is Harry’s bar.

Down at heel, shabby. Spent 24 hours there, we insisted we were moved.
Acharavi as a resort was busy, nice beach generally ok. Lots of tavernas, pity about the hotel. In our room the bathroom handle was broken, wardrobe was broken it looked as if giant mice had chewed around the top.
In the kitchen all the crockery was chipped stained or cracked.

I could only apply praise to the hard working staff and management of this small hotel. Meeting and greeting fellow guests with "morning", "morgen" or "Kalimera" is a peice of English Culture I'd like to see restored in blighty.
Any staff request is met by "no problem five minutes"
(they dont tell you which hour that five is in, BUT they do not forget and go that extra mile to please). Most clients that get frustrated by this are told "You're on holiday , relax, whats the rush?" Corfu is not modern and you do pay for what you get, but the friendliness and warm welcome from staff in many languages including guests own frangrekogermoitaleuroese was a delight and relaxing. As Brits amongst the Italian, Dutch, and Nice Germans we enjoyed a high standard of B&B and fair priced drinks for this BANK suppressed greek island. They need and deserve the money we all put in, by their very long hours and smiles to earn.
Visit Corfu town for best supermarket prices.
I spent a contented 11 days here, and the nearby Harry's Bar can also be recommended for p.m. food or snacks.
Dont accept trips from reps -visit the better value trip specialists down the road and save upwards of £20 per trip.
Mosquitos love this place, take plug ins and good repellents.
The beach water was poor, either because of caustic from drains or concrete pouring, the mayor's wife promised an improvement and improved monitoring.
Beware Doctors surgery visit costs E61, not covered by insurance or Ehic card.
But I did enjoy the company, the views and the holiday.
