Best Western Senator Hotel

Had a great stay. The reception staff were kind and helpful. As soon as you arrive, your luggage is taken to your rooms. I had booked a double room with a double bed, but for some reason they had given us a double room with two single beds. As soon as i saw this, i mentioned this was not right and it was no trouble at all changing rooms. The breakfast is lovely. Lots of choice. Its almost the same every morning. Worth getting up for. Compared to the other Turkish 4 Star Hotels in this busy and noisy wholesale garments and textile district, the Best Western credentials seem to support a relatively higher level of cleanliness than the plethora of other hotels in the area. The breakfast included warm dishes and the breads and all other condiments, fruits, eggs were always fresh. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff and manager Don who is so hospitable and welcoming we felt we had come home. Just to relax in the bar is delightful and the rooms are so comfortable. Just loved it!

We had an excellent stay at the Senator Hotel. They have nice rooms and delicious breakfast. The highlight of the hotel is certainly the competent staff. The recepcionists are sympathetic, ready to help with anything and amazing turkish teachers (they don't charge for the classes). Hotel staff was very helpful and gave us good and useful information. Location is convinient to reach many tourist attractions and shopping areas. Plenty of good eating places and very reasonably priced.

First of all, who cares about a lobby? No one stays in a lobby for an extended amount of time, so why do so many people comment about how great a hotel's lobby is?. In the Senator's case, it is a facade to mask the inadequacies of the rest of the hotel. I stayed at this hotel in May for a week and found it to be an above average 3* Hotel with friendly staff (not a true 4* as advertised.) The twin room was small and the bathroom was fine and cleaned every day. The sheets were clean and changed regularly. The Breakfast buffet was acceptable with plenty of coffee and a variety of breads and rolls. Cooked food was available in the buffet but was not hot and could be improved. I stayed at the Senator Hotel in Istanbul Turkey on March 17th, 2005 while on business and my stay was for one night. But unfortunately it was one night too long. We arrived at the hotel and were checking in so the hotel agent who took our passports to verify the number. After checking in at the lobby, the bellboy tells us that our rooms were ready. This hotel is relatively modern according turkish standard. The lobby is pretty nice, with marble everywhere. The standard rooms are small, clean, but in general the quality of the furniture is low, especialy in the bathroom, which is not impressive at all. The bath product are the worst I have ever seen. The staff is not very friendly, and some of them don't speak english. The buffet breakfast offer is decent, with some hot food.
