Eresin Crown Hotel

Went to Istanbul for a long weekend. Location of the hotel is perfect, service is nice and helpful, they do speak English well. Highly recommended, if I travel to Istanbul again I'll stay at the same hotel.

Really nice and very well located hotel. This hotel is very confortable, the staff is very kind and the hotel is near the big bazaar and the sultanameth. Very clean and car parking in the street. Highly recommended.

Spent 4 nights here on a city break - perfect location 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque in the old town, attractive public rooms featuring various archaeological pieces, splendid roof top restaurant with views over the Sea of Mamaris and the Blue Mosque - food there not to bad either, and a nice place to breakfast. Staff on the whole, are helpful but they do have a problem, in that the rooms are all on the small side, even the de-luxe ones. We arrived in turkey for business. The Eresin Crown is not a business oriented hotel. The staff does not speak English, nor other European languages. This causes problems such as my request for a business translator was met with the hotel arranging a 3 hour sightseeing tour (not exactly what was required for my meeting). Arranging for express courier pick up of my things was a true challenge and management was not helpful in the least. The Eresin Crown is well located approx 300 metres from the Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque (although up quite a steep hill) The staff were polite and reasonably helpful. We arrived with a group 20 or so and even though it was 2.30pm our room wasn't ready. I saw lots of buses over the 3 days I was there - they obviously have lots of tour groups come in. We requested a double superior room, but the beds were made up as singles, after requesting it be changed to a double, they just pushed the two beds together each made up seperately, and... more

I have been fascinated with the location, fascinated with the staff, fascinated with the services, especially the menu of the restaurant and the wines of Anatolian grapes the way they call it. We were able to reach all the attractions by ourselves by walking and everywhere is within easy access by the taxis. Smiling faces all over the hotel makes everything easier and it feels like home...if I get the chance to go to the magnificient city Istanbul again, this hotel is just the right place to stay.

I really don't know where to start...it was like a dream where I woke up in the ancient times. In verey step you take at the hotel, you face with a historical piece. It is so close, you can touch and feel it...the picture and ceramic collections in the hotel are woth to see. you do a historical sightseeing without going out. besides the words are not enough to describe the view of the terrace that the hotel has. the firendly behaviour and qualified service of the staff just made my stay more unforgetable. This hotel should be avoided at all costs. Rooms are tiny. Service is appalling: very cheeky staff, with don't care attitude. Management not any better. Housekeeping very poor: dirty glasses & dishes left for days in room. Food atrocious: on a par with McDonalds.

I don't care what the star rating system says, this hotel is not five star. From the Pet Shop Boys music playing in the lobby, to the showers that flood the bathroom floors, the room service where nobody speaks English and the wake-up calls at the wrong time. Having said that, it is a perfectly comfortable, clean, quiet (at least, my room was), brilliantly-located establishment where the staff seem genuinely friendly and interested in helping. We stayed at the Eresin in May 2005. Unfortunately we have been given a tiny room when we arrived. We complained about at the reception and got a noisy one. After another claim we were finally given a room on the backside that was acceptable. The bed was comfortable and the bath was clean and beautifully designed with marble. The service was in general good and the staff friendly. When reserving ask for a room at the backside as all rooms to the front are noisy.
