Excellent location in the Old Town of Valencia meaning that all the main attractions are in walking distances, as well as a good range of restaurants and bars. Also close to train and bus networks for longer journeys).
The hotel is very elegantly furnished and the rooms are a good size (although they could do with some coat hooks!) and clean. I always found the staff to be polite and helpful with a reasonable amount of English (which is uncommon in the city).
The hotel has a spa/health suite that usually has offers (check with your tour operator or the reception). The hotel also features a small bar in the lobby and a restaurant which I heard good things about (but didn't try personally).
There are some competitive off-peak offers to be found on the web.

We found many places nearby for a late beer and tapas when we arrived at about midnight. It's also easy to get from the airport and the cab is only EUR 15.
If you want to be right next to the beach, however, suggest you stay near the port area rather than at Hotel Vincci Lys as it's about a 20 min cab ride to the beach. Make sure you have lunch there along the promenade!
The rooms are a bit small though adequate and the mattress was comfy. Perhaps better to have larger rooms and duvets instead of a bit of a grim looking bed cover. The bathroom was fine, though, and the room was quiet as it overlooked the back of the hotel.
Make sure you book online and in advance as we got a very good deal for about EUR 95/night.
There is no pool or anything but if you are looking for a clean, comfy, central hotel in Valencia, this is great.
