Novotel Valencia Palacio de Congresos

We stayed here for four nights and found it a very comfortable hotel. We had a room at the back and although it overlooked a busy road and roundabout, it was extremely quiet. The only fault we found was the €15 per night parking fee, which we paid the first night,for the remaining nights we parked on waste land directly across from the hotel where many local cars were parked.

Stayed here in July 06, just for one night while I visited L'Oceanagrafic marine park. Found the hotel easy to find from the A-7 motorway (Directions from Novotel website). It's a nice hotel but maybe not four stars. The reception staff were polite, the girl on duty provided a map when asked for directions, another girl, clearly a "people person" helped me with my Spanish and was very pleasent.The room was clean and tidy as one would expect from Novotel, though the pillows on the bed were like soft cushions from a sofa and I found that the... more

I actually stayed at the hotel for an extended period in May of 2006. The hotel is quite clean and the rooms are fairly large compared to others that I have stayed in in Europe. The closet space is quite limited (there are not ANY drawers in the room). There is internet available in the room. I found the staff sometimes helpful and sometimes not very helpful. Not everyone spoke English, but they often could find someone to help. The biggest downfall of the hotel is that it is not super close to downtown. it cost about 8-12 euros... more

I actually stayed here twice. Once during the wild-pyrotechnics festivities of Las Fallas (mid March 2006) and then again for around eleven days in mid-April 2006. The first time we stayed near the elevators and although fireworks and firecrackers went off outside continually, the room remained extremely quiet. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel Wednesday 8 - Saturday 11 March 2006. As noted by other Trip Advisors, the hotel is out of the centre of the city, in a new district under construction to the north west. The Palacio de Congresos is within walking distance, and the hotel is on the way to the Trade Fair site. The Novotel shares a skyscraper building with its sister Accor hotel Ibis, and the Eurostars Gran Valencia Hotel which I think is under quite different ownership. This hotel had nice rooms, good food, and most importantly, a kind and helpful staff. In our 50's we wnated to be able to escape from the noise and excitement of Las Fallas and sleep in the morning. Although out of the way, its one block from the subway and we could be in the center of town in 15-20 minutes. Its close to grocery stores. and there's a nice neighborhood Falla around the corner, up the street and one block in from an electronics store, not far from a hospital. I think the sponsoring group os called, "El Sominis" (sp?).
