Expo Hotel Valencia

I stayed here with some friends at the beginning of June - it was really warm even for the locals! Not a great time then for the air-con not to be working! My friends shared a room and theirs was fine. If you're staying here - the rooms are fine - plain and simple but pretty big. There's no safe deposit box in your room - you have to pay a couple of euros a day and use one at reception. Stayed at Expo Hotel Easter 2005. 15 Euro cab ride from the airport and 100m from closest metro it was conveniently located to get in and out the city for those who dont mind using the metro. Breakfast was very good - both hot and cold buffet was available. rooms were clean and well presented however walls were a bit thin - probably no good if you are a light sleeper. Shopping centre at the doorstep and surrounding area seemed safe. would recommend for a cheap weekend getaway.

This was a good value hotel with a large and tasty breakfast buffet that was included in the room price. The room was clean and comfortable but nothing spectacular in the way of decoration. The air conditioning either was non-existent (for April) or did not work but you can open the window for fresh air. The children's rides down below were noisy during the day but that ceased in the evening. I loved having bus/metro service close by and having a mall with a supermarket next door was a plus. My husband & I stayed in this hotel in 2004 & really loved it. The staff were most helpful and it was central to all amenities. We felt very safe there & would love to return. (We are aged late 50)
