Really lovely area with the beach mere steps away. Small seafront not spoilt by discos and raucous niose but not much for children to do if you don't have a car, other than the beach which was spotless and perfect for all watersports. We rented scooters and had a great... more

Have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Almyrida Beach hotel. The hotel was very clean, towels changed most days, the food was a very good standard even for my children. The pools were quiet and everything was wonderful the staff were so helpful. The villiage is... more

The Almyrida Beach Hotel is a fabulously friendly, very clean and restful place to stay. The staff are all first class, nothing too much trouble and they all seemed to be genuinely, constantly smiling. The food was first class and not overpriced and, price wise, comparable... more

This was our second visit to the Almyrida Beach Hotel. We first stayed there in June for one week and were so impressed by the value for money (we booked through Med Hotels) and resort that we decided to go again in September for two weeks. The hotel itself is of a good... more

A family of five, including three children of primary school age, we stayed at the aptly named Almyrida Beach Hotel for fourteen nights from the 13th July 2007. Almyrida is a small but developed resort some fifteen miles east of Chania. The beach is blue flag and patrolled... more

Just got back from a week in the Almyrida Beach Hotel. If you are after a relaxing, chilled out holiday this is the place to be. All of the people in the hotel are so friendly, the place is spotless and the resort is typical old Greece. Sit and relax with a bottle of Mythos... more

Great hotel, rooms are clean and fresh, with great staff to help you. There was 4 of us in this room, with plenty of space, maids cleaned the room every day, and receptionist are there 24 hours to help you. Nothing is too much to ask them. The food was o.k. but not much... more

Great place to stay
We stayed for a week in Almyrida Beach Hotel and had a fabulous time. The hotel is very good and looks actually better Live than on the photos you see on the web. We booked for half board and can say that the food was very good. A previous review talked about the quality of the food provided wasn't very good but since than it has been improved considerably. Staff was great and very helpful, from Michael to Fofi, everybody was very enthusiastic and provided us with more than enough information of what to do. Almyrida is a perfect place to 'get away from it all' and forget the 'traffic jams of a big city'. The village is on the brink of the beach itself and very clean. The quantity of other tavern’s to eat out is good, there are around ten now. We loved it here and will certainly come back again.
4* Hotel 2* Food
Booked this holiday on Last minute for just over 700 pounds - 2 people a weeks half board. For this price it was good value for money. The hotel was very clean, the bedroom was spacious with 2 single beds pushed together and all the amenities you would expect from a 4* hotel. The bathroom was on the small side (not great for families but ok for 2 people) with bath/shower the shower bracket was however broken so it had to be used as a handheld shower. The hotel staff were lovely, from reception to the dining room and even the cleaning staff they were all 5* and all spoke excellent english. Both the hotel and resort had very mixed nationality travellers from the uk, germany, italy, spain, france, scandinavia. The resort is very small (one main street) and a dozen tavernas. There is some building work going on with a number of lorries passing through the village. Not enough to be obtrusive but noticable. The one thing that let this holiday down was the food, both the hotel and local restaurants were limited in the range of food on offer, although all was good quality and reasonably priced. Not much to do round and about and possibly a little quite for children/teenagers but a very relaxing break, nice clean pool and beach and for the price you can't really go wrong!
