Lovely old house and very welcoming, pleasant village. by CJB48

We were made very welcome by the young family at this lovely house. The bedroom is a cosy old timbered room and very well appointed. There is a spacious old dining room where we were served a very good breakfast.

A few doors away we were also made welcome at The Anchor pub. There were good log fires and the food was traditional but of good quality.

We departed for Ely in a blizzard! There we visited the magnificent cathedral and an excellent bookshop, Toppings. Fine display of snowdrops at nearby Anglesey Abbey.

"What a Great B & B!!" by SpeedbirdDorset

I hadn't read previous reviews about Bury House when booking my B&B but as soon as I arrived I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed. Some hosts really go out of their way to make your stay really special and Emma is one such person. I can't add anything to what is said in previous reviews but it dosn't do any harm to add my name to the list.

It is difficult to add anything to the other excellent reviews as all the memorable details have been covered. We had a lovely visit to Ely that was made all the more special by staying somewhere as comfortable and welcoming as Bury House.

Service second to none in a lovely room in a great old house with lots of unexpected extras. Never bothered writing reviews before but couldn't let this go unrewarded - no hesitation in recommending and will certainly use again

This is by far the best B&B I have stayed in. The house is beautiful, Emma is a lovely friendly helpful person. The room is top class with all the little extras and the breakfast was superb - home made bread - freshly laid eggs what more could you want.

This is a really lovely bed and breakfast, we were made so welcome by Emma and Rob.

The room was huge and beautifuly decorated, everything had been thought about, there was plenty of storage and even a tray to put outside shoes on which we thought was a great idea. Breakfast was a delight as along with the usual cooked breakfast everyday their was a special which was a bit different such as pancakes with caramlised apples and maple syrup, delicious! They are perfectly located just a few miles from Ely where there are plenty of places to get an eveneing meal. This B&B is a real gem.

A most beautiful old house, a very warm welcome and fabulous food. by Earthangel0

Bury House is definitely worth a visit. We only stayed one night, but we left wishing we were staying longer. Emma the Landlady, was so warm and welcoming, and she laid on a most fabulous breakfast.....My husband had the Full English with home made bread. I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and toasted muffins.......perfect !

A lovely atmosphere in the house.

Thank you Emma, Theresa and Geoff Plumb Milton Keynes.

A real Surprise by Jimaydee

When you book late for a bank holiday weekend you're never sure what you'll get. However this was perhaps the best B&B we've ever used. A house and room full of character ,use of a beautiful sitting room, and a great breakfast (and we even had a choice ! ) . All spotlessly clean and welcoming.

The pub up the road does a very good Thai menu as well .

My son and I made a trip from Stansted to Manchester. We travelled one week and had severall hotels and B&B's, but none of them was as good as this one. Very kind welcome, nice and big room and a real English breakfast.

My partner and I recently stayed at Bury House and had such a lovely time we are planning another stay later in the year.

The warm, friendly family atmosphere given by the Beeney's was second to none and the food cooked by Emma was both mouth watering and extremly good.

If your looking for somewhere to stay in the Ely area, I highly recommend Bury House.
