Very nice hotel. Reasonably located...
Nov 2005, Mr C Gascoigne-Pees
Very nice hotel. Reasonably located within a quick taxi ride of the Alhambra and restaurant areas. Reception were very helpful and taxis usually arrived within a minute of asking for one.
The pool is good with plenty on seating around it. The hotel itself is clean, spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was good with a good selection. I would stay there again.

Returned early hours this morning from a 3 night break to celebrate partner's birthday. The Hotel Saray is a nice 4* hotel on the edge of Granada. I
t takes just 10 minutes stroll (and with Achilles tendonitis it was a stroll) to the edge of town with shops, bars etc. 20 Minutes stroll gets you right to the centre and the Cathedral. The Cathedral is amazing and the Alhambra is absolutely breathtaking.
My advice is to book your ticket for the Alhambra before you go as it gets very busy and it is restricted in numbers. Beware the walk from the cathedral up to the Alhambra is very steep and very hard work in temperatures in the mid 40s. But it's worth all of that and of course you can always get the bus. Granada is a city of flowers, fountains, architecture and sunshine and music.
The Hotel Saray is kept very clean, the rooms are large and air conditioned, the complimentary toiletries are very nice. The one evening meal we had at the hotel we took up in the cafe/bar in reception. We were the only ones eating there and so got individual attention and the food was excellent.
I would recommend this hotel, the gardens and swimming pool are beautiful. The bus runs from the airport to within yards of the hotel (last stop). Only downside was using Stansted airport and Ryan Air.
We had to pay extra £10 Per case each way which you don't know until you read the small print after purchasing your ticket and the flight on the way back was delayed an hour, the plane is so no frills that you don't even get a seat pocket to put your books etc in and so have to keep them on your lap.
Also beware at Stansted when you get back the queues to get through passport control are horrendous they even have police with guns to keep you in line, it takes a good hour to get through to baggage claim. But Granada was worth all the hassle.
