Hotel Juan Miguel

We stayed there one night and were very satisfied. We agree with the previous review about the tiny garage. We put a pretty good scrape on the door of our car trying to get around the sharp corners. But all's well that end's well. The rental car company didn't notice it. At least the garage is in the hotel. Great location and great price. Highly recommended.

Hotel Juan Migual was fine -- centrally located with lovely view of the plaza and friendly, helpful staff. Room was a bit drab but large, very clean and well appointed. But beware of the parking garage the hotel recommends -- worst I have seen in Europe -- too small, overcrowded and dimly lit with support columns just waiting to scrape your fenders.

We only stayed here one night, but had a good size triple room as we were traveling with our daughter who is studying in Spain. We had a plumbing problem in the room, but the front desk responded immediately which impressed us. When it could not be fixed promptly, they moved us to a different room. Location (as is mentioned in the other reviews here) is very good - we walked everywhere, and it was convenient to Plaza Nueva to catch the minibus to the Alhambra. Great location, friendly staff, clean room, quite. Room was just a bit small, but that is not a problem. Ok at 90 Euro.

Stayed at Hotel Juan Miguel in early October. Booked through our travel agent after looking at tripadvisor reviews and the hotel's website. Location great, with easy walk to the old quarter and Alhambra. Food and shops all nearby. Their car park was full but there was plenty of space in the public car park in the next block. Room & bathroom were quiet and clean. Staff were friendly. Good value at 73 euros a night (weekend rate).

We stayed 2 nights during September 2004. The hotel is in great location near everyhing. Our room was not very big. The staff spoke English and was very helpful. The main problem is that in order to get to the elevators you have to climb approx. 10 stairs!! Breakfast was not included in our rate and it was quite expensive, so we didn't try it.

I went to granada, Spain July 2003 and Hotel Juan Miguel was the best hotel i went to . It was clean, they were soooo nice and helpful, and it is at a good location. It's pretty close to the big church, plaza nueva, the alhambra and Albacin even though it's kinda tiring to go up that big hill anyway unless you take these mini buses. And the people of Granada are just very wonderful and nice. And definately go to the club Granda 10.

The hotel is in a great location. One can not possibly overstate the positive impact of the location of this hotel. The hotel staff are bilingual, courteous and helpfull. The breakfast they serve (which is included in the price) is simply great! However, the are rooms for significant improvement. In our room the bathroom door could not be closed. The bath tub/shower is of very bad design and water spills everywhere after shower. The Juan Miguel definitely has a great price and location and was clean. However, we (a family of 5) arrived in a car, which would not fit in the garage. The bags had to be lugged up and down stairs without any help. The website is false in that it says there is free internet. And one of the receptionists was rude and unhelpful.

JUST returned from Spain. We stayed at a great hotel in Granada, right across from the Puerta Real---10 minute walk from Puerta Nuevo (where buses go up to Albaicin or to Alhamabra). It cost around 53 Euros, and we booked it through -----------. It even has a queen-size bed, which was really unusual for most of the places we stayed in this price range). Excellent staff (they helped me cancel a night at another hotel, sent faxes no charge, no charge for telephone calls that were local). They have a place for breakfast/lunch as well... more
