Alixares Hotel Reviews
" Apart from the Alhambra Parador, you... "

Apart from the Alhambra Parador, you could not choose a better placed hotel for a visit to the Alhambra. it is only about 150m from the entrance. Parking at the hotel is limited but there is a special concession for parking in the Alhambra car park, which is just across the road. There are buses every 5 minutes into Granada(0.95euros) and the bus stop is only 150m away.
Although the room was small, it provided all that was required. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The evening buffet meal provided an wide choice and was excellent value for the price of 11euros as was shown by the number of customers. The buffet breakfast also provided a wide choice and was an excellent start for a days sightseeing.

Granada is absolutely fabulous I don't think you could ever tire of visiting there, so much to see and do. It is a 15minute drive if you would like to ski. The coast is about 40 minutes away.
Granada is totally Spanish, the people are so friendly, the food different although you can find Pizza's and of course McDonalds. The fountains in Granada are lovely and there are some beautiful parks.
Getting around is easy, the trains and buses are clean and on time. You can't get that in England.
Back to the Hotel Alixares, breakfast is all you could hope for and more. Lunch or Dinner, great choices you end up not knowing what to choose, there is so much. A bottle of wine at Dinner cost between 5 and 7 Euros, unbelievable for a four star Hotel.
We have been twice now and will stay there again.
