Just returned from two fabulous weeks at Mnarani, enjoyed every minute there,so peaceful,in a beautiful setting, and the staff and management really care, and do their best to make your stay one you will remember for all the right reasons.
The pool is the finest I have ever been in,absoluley gorgeous, kept clean, and lovely and warm always, the pool boys are great and nothing is too much trouble.
However if you love to party then this is not the place for you,it is a place to relax ,and enjoy the scerenerty of the place.Just chill out and unwind you will feel so much better after two weeks here.
We had a bungalow overlooking the creek which was simple yet completely in fitting with the surroundings a taste of Africa but with all you need, spotless bed,and linen, full bathroom, air conditioning, and a room boy who looked after us,and kept the place perfect[thanks TOM]
We would sit on our verandah each night before dusk and watch the resident troup of monkeys play around on the grass outside, they kept us entertained and were never a threat or nuisance, just great fun.
Many of the guest,s were South Africans and we found them simply charming, always ready to chat, and tell you of the wonders of their beautiful homeland,so much so I now have a longing to go and see the place for myself. The resort manager and his wife are also from South Africa, and they could not have been nicer, always polite and each day asking ,are your enjoying your stay,is there anything we can do to make our stay better, the answer was no the place is fabulous.
They go to tremendous trouble,as do the staff,to have a bar b cue supper once a week down on the private beach, which means them transfering everything required down a steep hill and back up again, but it is worth it to have a n evening meal down by the surf.On anther night they serve evening meal around the fabulous floodlight pool, very romantic.
I would just like to say to all the staff concerned,THANK YOU for a great holiday,we were sad to leave, but felt so much better for a truly relaxing holiday.
Kenya has it,s problems attracting tourist at present due to past troubles, but there is no sign of any unrest here. You will be met everywhere with smiling faces and kind words. So Iwould say go and see for yourself, but go with an openmind, and look beyond the obvious poverty, and get out and about to meet the real people of africa.
If you go to this area stay at the MNARANI CLUB you will love it.
