Ok, we just returned from a 4 day stay at this hotel. We were there with a large group so I got to see several rooms. Since it is an old house re-done to a hotel, there is a great difference between some rooms and others. I can defenitely recomend room #7 and Room #39, they are spacios (huge) compared to other rooms (stay away from 19 and 30 and defenitely #2) actually stay away from all rooms that face the 1st courtyard as it is the noisiest one. Noise is a big issue in this hotel, you can hear almost everything that is going on outside... more
Annoying beeps, noisy lift and plumbing.
Great looking place from in and outside. The building is an interesting conversion of an old building - and this is where the problem is. The staff were very friendly on arrival, though it took a little time to check in and we had to wait for the room, but the complimentary drinks were welcome. We knew the hotel was busy when we booked, so it was no surprise to find our room next to reception on the ground floor. The rooms are well furnished and this one has a huge bath. During our first afternoon I had to work from the room for a... more
Just Okay
Stayed at this hotel for two nights in March. On my first night, I was assigned at room #15. The room was well furnished and the bathroom newly renovated. The problem was this room faced the front. Therefore, you could hear the cars and motorcycles zipping by. Likewise, you could hear people coming in and out of the hotel late at night and early in the morning. The next morning, I informed the front desk staff of my problem and they quickly asked me to check out another room (#26), which was located in the interior courtyard. This was a more... more
Great Little Hotel
We were a little worried after booking this hotel as it had recently had a few bad reviews on Trip Advisor. Despite previous comments the hotel didn’t seem that difficult to find and it is ideally placed as it is a short five minute walk to the centre of Seville where the cathedral and palace are. The area seems safe and quite but suffers from what seems to be the scourge of European cities – graffiti. When we arrived at the very small reception the friendly member of staff helped us to take our luggage to our first floor... more
One of the best! Almost!
This is an exceptional hotel. These reviews already give a good account. On the plus side are the beautifully appointed rooms. We had a standard one (150€) but it had an extremely comfortable bed, flat screen tv, classy dvd player, very clean and tidy bathroom with an vast range of extras. Nice to see we were trusted with bathrobes and a hairdryer. It looked out into the square so was a lighter room than some have described. One of the best rooms we have ever had. Staff were very helpful and prompt – good English and French... more
Liked it
Call me cynical, but I always distrust the reviews of people who describe themselves as 'frequent travellers and this is the best/worst place we've ever stayed in'. So what I'd say about this hotel is that it may not be THE most conveniently sited (but only about a 10-minute walk away from the centre) and it may not have the biggest pool (tiny wee thing on the roof) but it DOES have lovely communal areas, the bathroom toiletries are fab (generously sized Korres products), and we had a very good dinner in the restaurant. Room was a good size.... more
Beautiful room! But a little dark...
We booked this hotel for our anniversary break from the 4 - 7 November 2005. Firstly, I would definitely recommend you pick up a Seville street map at the airport’s tourist kiosk on your arrival as its indispensable. The street name the hotel is located on is Santiago. And it can be rather hard to find your way home without the map. If you have booked a car, there is parking space for a small charge. I did enquire about free Airport Shuttle to the airport, as I’d read on one site that that was provided. There is no free... more
