Swell Surf Camp

A couple of times I’ve been to Cabarate now, but this new place I found is truly amazing! Swell Surf Camp is situated right off Cabarete main road (quiet during nighttime) and run by this fantastic couple: Jim and Clare. I have the pleasure of staying at this amazing place for 2 weeks (was only scheduled for 1 but extended for another.. it was that good!!). I went for the surf and experienced much much more. Claire and Jim are absolutely amazing and their first priority is making sure their clients are satisified. And that they did. Not just for me, but everyone who stayed there while I was there. Although I read plenty of reviews this is the first one I've written. I am a shameless hotel snob and was a little anxious about Camp life but this was, honestly, the best holiday that I've had in a long, long time. The accommodation is spotlessly clean (a major achievement when you consider how much sand is trekked through on a daily basis!) fresh and comfortable. In Februari 2010 I went alone on a (kite) surfing trip to Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. And lucky me, I landed in the best surf can you can get!! Clare and Jim, the owners of the camp are fantastic people, so is the other staff working there. You can always ask everything and they will help you with it. The owners of Swell Surf Camp, Clare and Jim, are two of the most caring and wonderful people I have met on my travels. They helped me plan my trip easily through efficient and fast email communications-- they even had a driver, a great guy named Franklin, pick me up from the airport. From the very first moment I entered the camp, Clare and Jim were genuinely interested in helping me have the greatest experience possible.
