Casa de Billy Barcelona

I just stayed at Casa de Billy for 6 nights. On the weekend, which also happened to be my birthday, my husband stayed with me, and then I remained for the rest of the week on my own as I was attending a conference in the city. I cannot say enough good things about this place. On the night we arrived Billy had a chocolate cake with a candle waiting for me in a bright, airy and wonderfuly decorated-room with a glass chandelier, and a very large bed kitted out with the softest Italian linen. Billy Barcelona was OK--not exceptional but not bad either. The B&B is really just an apartment in Barcelona. The proprietor lives in the apartment as well and there's no separation of public or private areas. Our room was very small--not that unusual in Europe. But the ventilation was poor--the window opened to an enclosed stairwell so there was no opportunity for fresh air and the room became extremely stuffy, especially at night. This is definetely one of the best B&B I have ever been in!! Soooo cool and stylish, the way it's furnished is amazing and so stylish! Joaquin and Billy are the perfect hosts. Joaquin was so friendly with us, he advised us on the things to do and to see in Barcelona and gave us plenty of advice! Our stay there was simply perfect. Thanks so much! :-) Rossana

This was a last minute booking for us, and we were not disappointed. The guesthouse is just absolutely gorgeous! It is beautifully decorated, so clean and had a really homely feeling about it. Staff were lovely- especially the gorgeous Elizabeth! Such great value for money, a real hidden gem! We loved every minute at Casa de Billy. Only downfall is the distance to la ramblas, although we didn't mind the distance (it is not the 15 minute walk advertised- a little further) as there was a metro stop 2 minutes away. Casa Billy Barcelona is a really nice please where you can rest, they have really nice staff that take care of you, you can wake up in the morning and you have a nice small breakfast, take a shower and go out, so you can enjoy Barcelona. It is well located so you can easily take the Metro or the Bus. One of the most important things that make your stay great is that the staff is there, if you have a doubt they are always there in order to help you, you can feel like you arre at home, with a warm place and staff.
