Villa Maria

These apartments are a good size, well equipped and immaculately clean. The gardens are stunning and definitely the best in the village, if not the island from what we saw. The family that run the complex are really helpful but never intrusive. The property is situated off the main road and the only sound we heard (apart from a little traffic noise on occasions) was the goats' bells and the old donkey across the road! Stayed for 7 days (with side trip to Skopelos)--absolutely gorgeous; the only only sound (this was out of school hols.) is the donkey braying in the am. No bar, no music. Staff v friendly. Recommend purchase A/C. Banana beaches a short drive. If you need to join the N. English group at Amalia, it is just down the road (need flashlight). Just visited Villa Maria in May 2009. The owners were great very friendly. The apartments were kept soooo clean. Basic as most self catering rooms are in Greece, but great. Pool area extremely clean and lovely also. 10/15 minutes walk from the beach. Had a really lovely stay.

i first stayed here in june 2006 with my mum and after the excellent service and cleanliness of the hotel as well as amazing gardens i decided to go back in august of 2008 with my boyfriend. The apartments are immaculate and the cleaners are very hard working, the room was spotless and cleaned every day, there are beautiful gardens at the base of the apartments which are maintained to very high standards, the pool is always clean.
