Residencia y Restaurant Fernando III

Great hotel, excellent location in the heart of Seville. Very clean and well kept hotel rooms. We loved that we could step outside the hotel and be immediately infused into the sights and sounds of old Seville. Immediate walking distance to the prettiest sights. Be prepared to take some time to find the hotel, as I find with other Spanish hotels in the historical districts. Believe me, you want to leave your car in the parking lot, once you arrive. Parking is extra. As to any noise, we didn't notice any but then we've lived in Spain for two years. You get used to it.

Fernando III was in a great location, close to the Murillo Gardens and in the Barrio Santa Cruz district. The hotel was impressive at first glance given the typical Spanish style -- dark wood and marble floors. We were enjoying our stay until night fell when we encountered an unbelievable amount of noise. First, the church bells rang. Then we could hear everything that happened on the street below (obviously the windows were not double-glazed!). Between the motorcycles, drunk Spanish singers, and people in the hallway trying to get into their rooms, I was constantly woken up throughout the night. In addition, we heard banging, which must have been construction in the hotel, from early on in the morning. I would definitely recommend staying here -- but bring earplugs!
