Next To

We visited the NextTo Hotel for a short mini break. This is a really great place to stay - clean, modern and in a central position in the city within a very nice area. Just around the corner from the Gaudi museum and right near the city tour bus stop. Right next to the hotel is the NextTo Bar and Restaurant where you can eat your breakfast for 5 euros and have a really good evening meal for 20 euros. Great atmosphere and really nice staff! Next To is in a great location on the metro (Diagonal) and close to all the attractions in Barcelona. The hotel is contemporary and has a nice roof terrace. We found the staff friendly. There is a small restaurant next door which does a reasonable breakfast. The only thing that could be improved is a hairdryer in the room!

We took our chances staying at this newly opened hotel. It paid off. We got a reasonable rate and it turned out to be wonderful. We took the RENFE train directly from the airport to the Passig de Gracia metro stop. The hotel is only a couple of blocks away from that metro stop. Very new hotel in a wonderful location near the top of Passeig de Gracie just around the corner from La Pedrera. Rooms were of minimalist design but were spacious and comfortable - very quiet as well. Staff were all very pleasant and most helpful when there was a glitch with the hot water. Problem was fixed very quickly. A pleasant stroll down to the Ramblas (or subway stop is just across road) and only a short walk to amble around the beautiful district of Gracia. If you have to visit or to go to Barcelona, this is a hotel to remember. The hotel is quite new (it opened just two months ago): it is so new that the taxis drivers still don't know it; it is situated just near Passeig de Gracia, the centre of the city, very close to the subway's stop. The rooms are styled in modern way, they are silenced, cleaned and confortable, equipped with air conditioning and private bathroom.
